"Are you okay?" Seeing the wound on Han Sen's back, Queen was shocked.
From his shoulder to his waist, there was a gash. His skin was torn open, and his spine could be seen.
On Han Sen's neck, there was also a wound that was bleeding. Fortunately, the wound was not deep enough to see the bone. If it was any deeper, his head would have been cut off.
Both wounds were terrible, but they did not bleed much. Han Sen's Jadeskin was very good at controlling his body, and he also had Heresy Mantra to control his blood flow. Otherwise, he would have died from excessive bleeding.
"I can still hold on."
Han Sen gritted his teeth. His back was hurting, and he knew his spine had been injured. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad. If he had been any slower, his spine would have been severed by the raven. If that had happened, not even a god could have saved him.
Queen took out some medicine and applied it to Han Sen's wound. Han Sen was in great pain.
Suddenly, there was a shrill cry. The black raven that was tied up by the gourd vines no longer looked cold and cruel. Its body was wrapped up by the vines, and the thorns on the vines pierced into the raven's body. It was as if the thorns could suck the blood out of the raven, and the vines that bound the raven gradually turned red.
The withered vines also seemed to be coming back to life, and some parts of the vines even had sprouts.
Quack!
The black crow let out two strange cries. Suddenly, its body shook, and the black feathers on its body sprayed out. The crow used the force of this spray to break free from the bindings of the withered vines like a featherless chicken. It flew away, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye.
Han Sen was shocked. He did not expect the raven to be so good at escaping.
After the raven ran away, the gourd vines returned to their original shape and wrapped around the bones. The vines that had sucked the raven's blood turned red also gradually turned yellow. Only a few new sprouts remained, and there was a touch of green on top of the yellow.
The gourd in Han Sen's hand was still vibrating, and it did not disappear like before. Han Sen had been holding it in his hand, and he did not know if there was a life inside.
If it was something like the Blood Lotus Poisonous Bee, Han Sen would have thrown it away immediately. However, he was not sure yet, and Han Sen did not want to do that.
Aside from the strange heartbeat, there was nothing special about the gourd. Han Sen touched the gourd and glanced at the black feathers that the raven had shed.
The feathers that the raven had shed were the longest, outermost layer of feathers. There were not many of them, and there were only thirty of them. Each feather was one foot long. Han Sen picked up a feather to examine, and his eyes brightened.
These black feathers belonged to a super creature, and they did not look like ordinary feathers. They were like feather weapons that the raven had created.
Each feather was like a black iron, and it gave off a chilling aura.
"This can't be the raven's gear, can it?" Han Sen asked Queen to help him collect all of the raven's feathers.
Counting carefully, there were a total of thirty-six feathers, which coincided with the number of Heavenly Stars. Each feather was about the same length and size. If they were stacked together, it wouldn't be a problem to make a feather fan.
Han Sen's back was hurting, so he said to Queen, "Can you use your sword to test the hardness of these feathers?"
Queen nodded and summoned a sacred-blood beast soul sword. She slashed at the feather, but it did not leave a single mark on the feather. The feather was impervious to most weapons.
"Good stuff! This is good stuff!"
Han Sen was overjoyed. These feathers only needed to be processed, and they could be made into excellent bolts. With the peacock crossbow, they might be able to kill a super creature.
"How about we take eighteen of these feathers each?" Han Sen asked Queen.
"I have no use for them. Take them if you want." Queen gave the feathers to Han Sen.
Queen had seen Han Sen pick up a strange crossbow, and it looked a lot like the Deadeye Peacock. She suspected that the crossbow was the beast soul of the peacock.
But Han Sen did not want to tell her, and she did not ask. Han Sen wanted the feathers to make bolts, and they would be useful for killing super creatures. So, Queen gave him all of them.
Han Sen looked at Queen strangely, but he still took the feathers.
Han Sen believed Queen would be able to tell there was something wrong with the crossbow he was using, but she hadn't asked him anything. She had even given him the feather, which made him very confused. He didn't know what she was thinking.
"The raven is gone, so we must leave. If the red-cloud mule comes back, you will not be able to escape with your injuries," Queen said.
After Queen said that, she picked him up and started walking down the mountain in a different direction.
Han Sen was on Queen's back, and this was the first time someone had helped him since he entered the sanctuary. And it was a woman who helped him. It made him feel strange.
Fortunately, they did not encounter any danger on their way down Sky Pillar Mountain. Queen summoned a giant elephant mount and took Han Sen to a nearby shelter. She wanted to take Han Sen back to the Alliance to recover. His injuries were too severe, and it would be difficult to heal them with medicine alone.
Han Sen did not go back to the Alliance, though. He had the Silver Fox, which was better than the healing fluid of the Alliance. There was no need for him to go back.
Han Sen was still thinking about the gourd, and he did not want to go back to the Alliance. He couldn't just leave the gourd there.
Han Sen returned to Little Silver with his wounds. Little Silver walked up to him and licked his wounds. The wounds healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, and even the bones that had been damaged were mended.
Han Sen's wounds were getting better, so Queen rented another room. After she left, Han Sen brought out the gourd and put it in front of the Silver Fox. He wanted to see if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
When the Silver Fox saw the gourd, it behaved strangely. It circled it a few times and sniffed it. Then, it began to observe the gourd again.
Han Sen watched it for a while, and then the Silver Fox went back to sleep.
"Hey, you better explain it to me clearly. What the hell is this thing?"
Han Sen was depressed. From Silver Fox's actions, he could not tell whether the gourd was a blessing or a curse.
The Silver Fox went back to sleep, ignoring Han Sen. Han Sen knew the Silver Fox was not a human, and it would not understand complicated words. There was no point in saying anything.
