After unlocking his gene lock with Jadeskin, Han Sen felt as if he could see the insides of the elephant's skull. He was able to capture the path of the pink snake as it slithered through the elephant's brain.
Feeling the bone elephant's lifeforce, Han Sen was looking for the perfect opportunity to deliver the killing blow.
Suddenly, Han Sen's pupils shrank. The elephant inside his body roared, and a big hand slapped the elephant's forehead.
Pang!
The Elephant-Rex power went through the elephant's skull and into its brain. It was like a torpedo had been launched into the deep sea, and it blew the elephant's brain apart.
"Super Creature Holy Bone Elephant killed. No beast soul gained. Its flesh is edible, and you may harvest its Life Geno Essence. Gain zero to ten super geno points randomly."
When this announcement sounded in Han Sen's head, a pink snake came out of the elephant's ear. It was like a flash of light, and it disappeared into the forest.
A few drops of pink blood could be seen on the ground. The pink snake had been injured by Han Sen's slap as well.
Han Sen was overjoyed. His fitness was not high enough, and although Elephant-Rex Strike was strong, it could only be used to take advantage of the situation. It could not hurt a super creature in its prime.
The pink snake had been injured by Han Sen's attack, and it had fled. It must have been severely injured, so the only possibility was that it had been injured inside the bone elephant's body. That was why it had been scared away by Han Sen's attack.
The bone elephant was a second-generation super creature, after all. Even if the pink snake had entered its body, it must have cost it a lot to kill it.
Han Sen was glad the pink snake had been scared away. The snake would not have expected that Han Sen could only strike once. If he hadn't, it wouldn't have been able to escape so easily.
Without saying a word, Han Sen summoned the little angel. He wanted to see if she could eat the bone elephant. This might be the best opportunity for her to evolve.
For Han Sen, the most important thing right now was not the super beast soul. Whether or not he could obtain it was secondary. What he cared about the most was whether or not he could absorb the bone elephant's Life Geno Essence.
When the little angel saw the Holy Bone Elephant's corpse, her eyes turned red. She leaped forward and began to gnaw on the bones. There was a crunching sound, and the little angel was able to break the bones. She was even holding onto a big tusk as she gnawed on it.
Han Sen was frozen. The little angel's teeth were too good. She was able to chew through the bones of a super creature. It was scary.
Han Sen summoned his Flaming Rex Spike and thrust it into the skull of the bone elephant. He hoped he could break open the skull and collect the Life Geno Essence. That was what he really needed. Everything else was useless.
To Han Sen's surprise, after the bone elephant died, its bones became much softer. The rex spike pierced a hole in its skull, and white brain matter oozed out.
Han Sen was shocked. He now understood how the little angel had managed to chew through the bones. When the bone elephant died, its bones were no longer as hard as they had been before.
Han Sen dug into the skull and rummaged through it for a while. Eventually, he found a crystal-like Life Geno Essence.
Han Sen was overjoyed. But then, he heard a hissing sound coming from all directions. A sea of snakes was coming his way. The pink snake did not want to lose its prey to Han Sen, so it commanded the rest of the snakes to try and kill Han Sen.
The pink snake was coiled around the head of a giant python. It looked up and hissed angrily at Han Sen. The snake's eyes were full of hatred.
Seeing the little angel gnawing at the bone elephant, Han Sen felt depressed. The little angel would not be able to eat all of it in a short amount of time, but his body was too weak. If the snakes came after him, it would be difficult for him to fight them off.
Just as he was considering whether or not he should give up on the rest of the Holy Bone Elephant's flesh and escape with Little Angel, he heard a bear roar. Two black bears, one big and one small, appeared on the mountain path. Wherever they went, the snakes were torn to shreds. The snakes were unable to withstand their claws.
Not long after, the two black bears, one big and one small, approached the bone elephant. Han Sen was shocked, and he wanted to flap his wings and run away.
But the big black bear nodded at Han Sen like a human. It then turned around and roared at the pink snake.
The pink snake roared back at the big black bear. The snake and the bear looked at each other, and they kept hissing and roaring. After a while, the pink snake looked at Han Sen and retreated with the rest of the snakes. Suddenly, the snakes were all gone.
The big black bear roared at Han Sen, picked up the small black bear, and placed it on its back. It then disappeared into the forest.
Han Sen was frozen. He did not know what was going on. Why were the two black bears there to help him fight off the snakes?
"Do they think I fought the bone elephant with them to help them? Is that why they are helping me now?" Han Sen could not think of a reason, so he guessed.
No matter what, this was a good thing for him. He had planned to take the little angel and run, but he hadn't expected things to turn out this way. Now, he had a chance to let the little angel eat the elephant's flesh.
Han Sen sat on the ground and rested. He kept an eye on his surroundings, in case the pink snake had another trick up its sleeve and decided to come back to kill him.
But clearly, Han Sen was overthinking things. The pink snake did not return with the rest of the snakes. When Han Sen had recovered, there were no more creatures around.
The little angel was still eating the bone elephant. She had only eaten half of it, and there was still more meat to go.
"The super creatures of the Second God's Sanctuary are so smart, especially the second-generation super creatures. I wonder what it will be like in the Third God's Sanctuary?" Han Sen thought to himself as he played with the bone elephant's Life Geno Essence.
The Life Geno essence was like bone and jade, and it glowed with holy light. There was not a trace of blood in it. It was similar to the holy elephant he saw under the peach tree the other day. It was not like the holy bone elephant he usually saw.
"I hope I can eat it this time. If I don't, I don't know how to get super geno points." Han Sen licked the Life Geno Essence.
But the result was disappointing. The jade-like Life Geno essence was not melted by him. It was still a solid block.
