In the pool, where the silver fox was looking, there was a fish.
The fish wasn't big, only about ten centimeters long. Its body was transparent, and even its bones were transparent. Only its blood vessels were faintly red. If one didn't look carefully, it would be difficult to see it lying quietly at the bottom of the water.
Because of the water, Han Sen couldn't sense the creature's lifeforce.
Summoning his devil-eye mask, Han Sen could see the transparent fish's lifeforce burning. It was as strong as a super creature.
"This guy is a super creature?" Han Sen was shocked, but he was also confused.
The fish's body was a mess, so it should be a first-generation super creature. It did not possess a lightning element, either. Why would the silver fox be so interested in it?
The silver fox was just looking at it from the edge of the pool. It did not look like it was going to do anything. After a while, it walked back to the pool, as if it was thinking about something.
"What is this guy thinking?" Han Sen looked at the silver fox strangely.
If it wanted to kill that little fish, it could just rush up directly. This pool was not deep, at most two to three feet deep. It could split all the water inside with a bolt of lightning. There was no need for it to fight underwater, and there was no need for it to have any scruples.
Plus, Han Sen was there. If the silver fox wanted to do something, there was no way he would just sit back and watch.
But the silver fox did not do anything. Instead, it lay down on the edge of the pool and looked at the transparent fish. It seemed to be waiting for something.
Although Han Sen thought it was strange, he had no choice but to wait. Whenever he got close to the pool, the silver fox would fiercely stop him from going any closer.
Not long after, Han Sen saw one of the sheep walk in. It was not afraid of humans, and it quickly approached Han Sen.
Seeing the pool, the creature barked and walked towards the pool. It looked like it wanted to drink the water.
Han Sen thought the silver fox would stop it, but the silver fox just sat there and watched the sheep drink from the pool.
Han Sen thought the small fish might attack him, but the fish just swam around at the bottom of the pool. It didn't seem to want to attack him at all.
The sheep drank a lot of water, and then it raised its head and prepared to leave.
But Han Sen saw a scary scene. The sheep's mouth was bleeding, and it looked like rotten mud. It was a scary sight.
But the sheep did not seem to feel anything. It did not feel pain, and it continued to walk away.
As it walked, more and more flesh fell from its head and face. Then, its entire body seemed to be rotting. Large pieces of skin and flesh fell off piece by piece, and soon, the eerie white bones were exposed.
The sheep did not feel anything, though, and it kept walking. But before it left the cave, its body was nothing but a skeleton. Its organs were rotten, and they fell to the ground.
Even so, the sheep was still alive. The skeleton of a sheep walked out of the cave, and it was a very strange sight.
Han Sen's back was covered in cold sweat. He now understood why the silver fox had been so fierce about not letting him get close to the pool. The water was so scary.
And the fact that the transparent fish was able to survive in the water was a miracle.
Outside, the sheep were crying. Han Sen went to the entrance of the cave to take a look. The other sheep were hiding from the skeleton, but the skeleton did not seem to notice them. It still thought it was part of the flock, and it wanted to return to the flock.
As he walked, a cracking sound was heard. The bones of the goat skeleton were broken. Soon, the entire skeleton fell apart and turned into a pile of bone fragments that fell to the ground.
"What is the water in this pool?" Han Sen was shocked. When he looked at the pool again, he was in awe.
Han Sen sniffed it, but he could not smell anything special. It was not like sulfuric acid, which was pungent.
It seemed that the water had come from the stalactites, and it had accumulated over time to form the pool.
Han Sen looked up from the stalactites, and there were many small cracks in the ceiling. The water must have come from those cracks, but there was very little of it. The dozen stalactites took a few minutes to drip a drop of water. It was hard to say how many years it had taken to create such a big pool.
"Little Silver, if you keep waiting like this, the fish won't jump out of the water on its own. Why don't we think of a way to get it out of the water?" Han Sen asked Little Silver, who was looking at the transparent fish in the pool.
Little Silver turned around and looked at Han Sen, as if waiting for him to tell him what to do.
"Why don't you use your lightning to kill it in the pool?" Han Sen asked after a moment of thought. "Why don't you use lightning to kill it?
Little Silver looked at Han Sen with disdain, and then he fired a bolt of lightning at the pool. When the lightning struck the surface of the water, it was absorbed and disappeared.
Han Sen now understood why the silver fox's lightning couldn't penetrate the water of the pool.
"What the hell is this water?
How can it work like this? "
Han Sen was shocked, but then he said, "It's okay. Lightning can be absorbed by water, but I don't think this thing can be absorbed."
Han Sen then summoned his peacock crossbow. He pulled out a Z-steel bolt and fired it into the pool, ready to kill the fish.
Little Silver's eyes brightened. He stood up and took a few steps back, as if he was waiting for Han Sen to kill the fish.
Han Sen moved closer to the edge of the pool and aimed at the fish. He predicted where it would move and fired the bolt.
But when the bolt entered the water, Han Sen knew he had missed.
The water had a certain angle of refraction, and the water in the pool seemed to have a higher refraction angle than normal water.
Because of this, the transparent fish's position was a little off.
The bolt brushed past the transparent fish and went into the rocks at the bottom of the pool, which made Han Sen's heart ache.
The water was so scary, he didn't think it would be easy to get the Z-steel bolt out.
But now was not the time to worry. Han Sen pulled out another Z-steel bolt and aimed it at the transparent fish again. He predicted where it would move, calculated the refraction angle, and fired the bolt again.
Pat!
When the crossbow bolt entered the water, it was unexpectedly simple. It directly pierced through the transparent fish's body. The transparent fish did not have any ability to resist at all. It only shook its body twice before its belly flipped over and it was shot to death just like that.
Han Sen was shocked. He did not expect the transparent fish to die just like that. It died too easily, and it did not even have the chance to struggle. It was killed by an arrow, just like that.
