A giant, flaming beast came out of the forest. It spat fire from its mouth, and it burned a human surpasser into a pile of charcoal.
Han Sen frowned, and he prepared to kill the beast to prove his innocence.
But before Han Sen could move, Lin Weiwei pulled him back and said, "Be careful. Don't get hurt."
"I can help," Han Sen said.
"Protecting yourself is the biggest help you can provide," Lin Weiwei said as she charged towards the giant beast.
Han Sen wanted to tell Lin Weiwei, "I can do it! I can kill it! Let me do it!"
But before Han Sen could say anything, Lin He and the others rushed forward and killed the beast.
Lin He was a surpasser with seven gene locks open, and his wind-elemental powers were frightening.
After dealing with the mutant beast, there wasn't much joy on everyone's faces. Another comrade had died, and it was a blow to everyone. They didn't feel the joy of killing a mutant beast.
Han Sen chatted with Lin He and the others, and when they confirmed Han Sen's identity, they accepted him into the group.
"Sister Weiwei, what day is it today?
I was chased here by the creatures, and I've been here for a few days now. I don't know what day it is, "Han Sen said.
When Han Sen exited the cave, he noticed he was no longer in Thorn Forest. He was in a place he was not familiar with. The monkeys had yet to emerge from the cave, and when Han Sen turned around, the mountain was gone.
Han Sen looked around for a long time, but he couldn't find the mountain. So, he decided to look for a way out. After half a day, he ran into Lin Weiwei.
But Lin Weiwei's situation did not seem to be good, either. Her shelter had been destroyed by the spirits, and they were now on the run. They were going to cross Ghost Mountain in search of a new place to settle down.
Han Sen asked Lin Weiwei if she knew anything about Thorn Forest, but she didn't. There was no such place nearby.
"Today is the seventh," Lin Weiwei said. It was normal for people in the sanctuaries not to know the date of the Alliance.
"What is the seventh of the year?" Han Sen asked.
"It's the seventh of March, twenty-five. Where else would it be?" Lin Weiwei rolled her eyes at Han Sen.
"Are you sure it's twenty-five?" Han Sen's eyes opened wide.
Although there was no day or night in the valley, Han Sen's timing could be off. Even if it was off by a year or so, he wouldn't be surprised.
But when Lin Wei Wei said it was the seventh of March, twenty-five, it shocked him. He remembered entering the cave on the fourth of March, twenty-five. No matter how accurate his timing was, there was no way he'd only been there for three days.
"I'm not that old that I can't remember the year," Lin Weiwei said.
Han Sen was shocked. He had been in the valley for a long time, but only three days had passed. The valley was more mysterious than he had thought.
"That's right. That valley has the power of time. The fruit trees don't grow, but they don't grow. It's like time has been frozen. And that monkey king's power can speed up time. That valley must have the power of time," Han Sen thought to himself.
Now, Han Sen was curious as to who had created the valley. It was a scary power, and Han Sen had never heard of a demi-god capable of twisting the flow of time in an entire valley.
Han Sen followed them on their journey. Lin He asked Han Sen a few questions, but all Han Sen knew was that he had come from Thorn Forest. He didn't know how to get out, which disappointed Lin He a great deal.
"We have to keep going. Let's cross Ghost Mountain and find a suitable place for us to live," Lin Weiwei said.
Spirits were strong, but super creatures were not weak, either. There were many super creatures in the area, and they had divided the spirit shelter into many different areas.
If they crossed Ghost Mountain and reached a place where there were no high-class spirits, they might be able to take down a spirit shelter.
Han Sen followed them. Although he had opened the ninth gene lock of his Blood-Pulse Sutra and Super King Spirit, his fitness wasn't good enough. He couldn't use them all, and he could only last for an hour. If he fought a battle quickly, he wouldn't be able to defeat the super creatures and King Spirit.
When they encountered creatures along the way, Han Sen wanted to help. But Lin Wei Wei was always taking care of him, so he didn't have a chance to do anything.
They didn't encounter any strong creatures, either. They only encountered mutant creatures, so Lin He and the others were able to deal with them.
Lin Weiwei knew Han Sen had only recently become a surpasser, so she thought he was weak. She thought Han Sen and Lin Feng were friends, so she took care of him.
But as they ventured deeper into Ghost Mountain, the creatures they encountered became stronger and stronger.
On the fourth day of their journey, the team came to a stop. There was a green forest in front of them, and they didn't know how far it went. They didn't know how far it went, but they could see trees that looked like poplar trees.
If they were just ordinary trees, it wouldn't have been a big deal. But these green trees had green lightning flashing above them. If you touched a tree, you'd be electrocuted. Even surpassers with fitness over a thousand would be injured by the lightning.
Lin He and the rest were hesitant to continue moving forward. In fact, this Green Lightning Forest was not very dense, but the distance between each tree was only a few meters. Moreover, the area covered by the branches and leaves was very large. If something happened in the forest, they would immediately be in a very dangerous situation.
There was no going back now, though, so they had no choice but to venture into the forest.
Everyone carefully walked into the forest, no longer daring to ride on their mounts. They supported each other as they moved forward to avoid bumping into the Green Lightning Trees due to their large bodies.
A gust of wind blew past, and the leaves above his head rustled. Green lightning danced on the leaves, making crackling sounds.
A few leaves fell from above. One of the surpassers had an injured leg, so he couldn't avoid them. He could only use his arm to block them. Suddenly, there was a scream, and smoke came out of that person's head from being electrocuted.
Fortunately, it was only a leaf, so it wasn't enough to kill him.
