When Han Sen returned to the shelter from the Alliance, Bao'er jumped into his arms and kissed Han Sen on the cheek. She said, "Daddy, Bao'er missed you."
"Bao'er, good girl. Daddy missed you, too."
Han Sen kissed Bao'er on the cheek and looked around, but he couldn't find the silver fox.
Han Sen used his dongxuan aura to scan the area, and he saw the silver fox lying on the gate, gazing off into the distance.
Han Sen carried Bao'er to the gate and said, "Little Silver, I'm back. There's no need for you to guard the gate."
Little Silver looked at Han Sen, and then looked off into the distance. Han Sen could see a complicated expression on the silver fox's face. There was worry, and there was sadness. It was hard to describe, but it made Han Sen's heart ache.
Han Sen frowned, and when he looked in the direction the silver fox was looking, he noticed it was in the direction of Ghost Mountain.
Han Sen landed next to Little Silver, stroked his head, and said, "Are you missing your friends already?"
Han Sen thought Little Silver was missing the creatures that resided in Ghost Mountain. The creatures were so nice to him, so it was no wonder he missed them.
Suddenly, Han Sen heard a ghostly howl come from afar. It sounded like someone was crying, and it was frightening. It was coming from the direction of Ghost Mountain.
Little Silver looked in the direction of the howl, and after a while, he turned around and looked at Han Sen. He walked over to Han Sen and rubbed his head against his leg, as if he didn't want to leave.
Han Sen was shocked, and he knew something was wrong. He held Little Silver's face and asked, "Little Silver, what's going on?"
Little Silver licked Han Sen's cheeks, then leaped off the gate and walked towards Ghost Mountain. After a while, he turned around and looked at Han Sen. Then, he turned around and walked away again. After walking for a while, he turned around and looked at Han Sen again.
Han Sen wanted to chase after Little Silver, but Little Silver barked at him to stop him. Then, Little Silver shook its head at him.
"Little Silver, what happened?"
He ignored Little Silver's attempts to stop him, and he left Bao 'er in the shelter. He chased after Little Silver and shouted, "What do you think?
Han Sen suddenly thought of something. When Little Silver was in Ghost Mountain, why hadn't he come to see him? That wasn't Little Silver's style. He was always so attached to Han Sen, so it didn't make sense for him to wait until after Han Sen had left.
Little Silver roared at Han Sen again, trying to stop Han Sen from coming any closer.
"Little Silver, is there someone threatening you?
Is someone forcing you to go back?
Is it the owner of that howl? "Han Sen sped up and ran towards Little Silver.
Although Little Silver wasn't a human, Han Sen had taken care of him since he was born. Little Silver had saved Han Sen's life many times, so Han Sen treated him like family.
If the silver fox wanted to return to Ghost Mountain on its own, he wouldn't force it to do something it didn't want to do, no matter how much he wanted it to do so.
But if something was forcing the silver fox to leave, there was no way he was going to let the silver fox go back to him.
Little Silver hesitated because of Han Sen's call. But then, another howl was heard. Little Silver gritted his teeth and roared at Han Sen. Then, he ran in the direction that the howl had come from.
The silver fox was incredibly fast, and Han Sen couldn't keep up with it. Han Sen was getting further and further away, and soon, the silver fox was about to disappear from his sight.
Han Sen gritted his teeth and opened his eighth gene lock. His speed increased, and he chased after the silver fox like a madman.
Han Sen was getting further and further away from Little Silver, but Han Sen was still running towards Ghost Mountain. He knew Little Silver was going in that direction.
The silver fox knew that Han Sen was coming, and when it heard a long howl, it stopped in its tracks.
Han Sen quickly caught up, and when he saw the silver fox stop, he was overjoyed. But just as he was about to run after it, the silver fox unleashed a bolt of lightning that struck Han Sen and sent him tumbling to the ground.
The silver fox barked at Han Sen a few times, as if it was trying to get him to go back and stop chasing them.
Han Sen got up from the ground, but he wasn't angry. He walked over to the silver fox and said, "If you want to go back, I won't stop you. If you don't want to, I won't let you go. Not even God can take you away from me."
Boom!
Little Silver unleashed another bolt of lightning, knocking Han Sen to the ground. Little Silver barked at Han Sen again, but this time, his eyes were shaking.
Han Sen didn't care, though. He just stood up and ran after Little Silver.
Little Silver's body flashed with lightning, but he couldn't strike a third time. So, he ran over to Han Sen and jumped into Han Sen's arms.
"Little Silver, I won't let you leave me." Han Sen rubbed Little Silver's head.
The silver fox rubbed its head against Han Sen's cheek and whimpered a few times.
Suddenly, Little Silver jumped out of Han Sen's arms. He looked in a certain direction, and his silver fur stood on end.
Han Sen also felt a scary presence approach. He looked over and saw a black shadow approaching. It was like a ghost. It was coming toward him.
The shadow walked slowly, but every step it took made Han Sen feel as if his world was being compressed. It was as if the world he was in was getting smaller and smaller, and the ghostly shadow was getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it was going to take over Han Sen's entire world.
Han Sen knew the shadow wasn't getting bigger. It was just that the presence was too strong, and that was why Han Sen thought he was seeing things.
Han Sen now understood why Little Silver hadn't come to see him when he was in Ghost Mountain. Han Sen thought Little Silver wanted to give him a surprise, but that didn't seem to be the case.
It wasn't that Little Silver didn't want to come, but he had been prevented from seeing Han Sen by that ghostly shadow. It wasn't until Han Sen was in trouble on the grassy plains that Little Silver decided to come and save him.
Han Sen stared at the shadow. Han Sen knew how strong it was, and he didn't think even the white snake had such a presence.
