Han Sen thought for a moment, then flew towards Ancient Devil Shelter.
He didn't fully trust Dragon Emperor, but the creatures were behaving strangely. They weren't attacking them, and they were all heading towards Ancient Devil Shelter.
Aside from the Devil Fangs, Han Sen saw many other creatures heading for the shelter. They seemed to have been attracted by the chime, and it was as if they had been possessed.
Han Sen was trapped there, and he couldn't get out. If he waited, he might as well go in and try his luck.
In regards to Dragon Emperor, Han Sen controlled him. Han Sen wasn't worried about him escaping.
Han Sen flew towards the black mist, and as he did so, he asked Dragon Emperor, "What do you mean by spirit awakening?"
"Unless you're born strong, most spirits and creatures are like you humans. They need to learn to open their gene locks. Lower gene locks are easy to open, but above the seventh gene lock, it's not so easy."
Dragon Emperor paused, and then went on to say, "The chimes of the Ancient Devil Bell can cleanse your soul. When Ancient Devil Emperor was still alive, every time the bell rang, many creatures and spirits would be able to open their gene locks.
Basically, if you listen to the seventy-two chimes, you can open one or two gene locks. If you open more than seven, it depends on your own abilities and luck. "
"You make it sound like it's a miracle. I've listened to it so many times, but it hasn't worked at all." Han Sen didn't believe him.
"My little ancestor, your cultivation is already so high, your soul is so strong, and you're so far away from the Ancient Devil Bell. It would be strange if it had any effect," Dragon Emperor said.
"If it doesn't work for me, what can I do there?" Han Sen asked. He still didn't believe Dragon Emperor.
Dragon Emperor looked excited, and he said, "When Ancient Devil Emperor was still alive, the chimes of the bell meant he wanted to test your genes."
"Test genes?" Han Sen didn't understand.
Humans had devices to check for genes, but he had never heard of spirits or creatures being tested for their genes. What was the point of doing that?
Han Sen suddenly thought of an uncle spirit. He had brought a beautiful spirit into a dark room, and he had a lewd smile on his face. He said, "Come, let me check your genes."
"Holy sh * t! Is Ancient Devil Emperor that lewd?" Han Sen couldn't help but ask.
Dragon Emperor was shocked, and he looked at Han Sen with suspicion. "Lewd?
What lewd? "
"Nothing. Go on. Why does Ancient Devil Emperor test genes?" Han Sen quickly changed the subject. He couldn't tell Dragon Emperor what he was thinking.
Dragon Emperor said, "It's to test the genes of every spirit and creature. It's to tell them what they can do to fix their defects. It'll be easier for them to unlock their gene locks."
"Nothing. I think so, too."
Han Sen coughed to hide his awkwardness, and then he said, "Now that Ancient Devil Emperor is gone, no one will be able to test his geno points. So, why are they in such a rush to find him?"
"That's why I find it strange. The Ancient Devil Bell is a geno treasure, so even if it wasn't destroyed, it should've been taken away. But it's still here, and it's still ringing." Dragon King didn't know what to say next, so he paused for a moment to think.
The bell had rung forty or fifty times now. Han Sen looked ahead, and he could see the buildings in front of him. It was a giant palace atop a mountain.
Originally, there should have been a stone staircase leading to the entrance of the palace, but now, the stone staircase had been broken, leaving only a few dozen meters above the mountain peak.

"Maybe what?" Han Sen looked annoyed.
Dragon Emperor did not speak, and Han Sen flew above the broken shelter. Inside, there were many scary creatures. There were at least a hundred thousand of them.
The weaker creatures could only stay on the walls or rooftops of the buildings. The closer one got to the plaza, the stronger the creatures were.
Creatures like the Devil Fangs were not even allowed to enter the shelter. They could only stand on the walls.
In the plaza, Han Sen saw six creatures. Each of them was scary. The creature with scales that Han Sen had seen before was one of them.
Only the six of them occupied the plaza. The rest of the creatures could only stand outside or on top of the broken palace.
The other five creatures were no weaker than the steel-shelled creature. Han Sen looked at them one by one. The most eye-catching one was a black monster with a tiger's head and a human body. It had four legs and a pair of wings.
Most of its body was black like steel, but there were places where it intersected with each other. It looked like lava, and there was a strange power flowing through them.
The monster was holding a double-edged axe. It shone with a cold light, and the head of the axe was as big as a house.
On the left side of the monster, there was a blood-red two-headed dog. One of the two heads had a pair of curved horns that pointed forward, while the other had a single horn that pointed backward.
The two-headed dog head's nostrils were like ice, but the one-horned dog head's nostrils were like fire.
