Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon looked glum. They did not want to share the shelter with the spirit, and that was why they were willing to work with a weak human.
They did not expect the spirit to be able to recruit such a powerful ally, and that made them want to retreat.
But the tall and short spirits were blocking the entrance of the hall. If they wanted to escape, they would have to fight them head-on.
"If you are willing to submit to me, I can spare your lives. As for you..." The blonde spirit looked at Han Sen and said, "All humans deserve to die, but you deserve to die the most."
"You make it sound like our lives are in your hands." Han Sen was not angry, and he just smiled.
"At least your life is in my hands." The blonde spirit pulled out his blue crystal greatsword and pointed it at Han Sen.
"Guys, let's do as we agreed. I'll take care of this lunatic, and you can take care of the other two." Han Sen waved his hand and fired a gold light at the blonde spirit.
The blonde spirit grunted and swung his blue crystal greatsword at Han Sen. Instead, he swung it at Han Sen's gold light.
The Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon looked at each other, and then they both leapt towards the two spirits.
They did not want to submit to a spirit, but they did not expect Han Sen to be able to defeat the blond-haired spirit. All they wanted was for Han Sen to stall the spirit for a while so they could escape from the temple.
Seeing the Six-Eared White Tiger and the Metal Demon approach, the two spirits laughed. They swung their hammers and swung them towards the tiger and the Metal Demon.
Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon were caught in a difficult fight. The hammers of the two spirits were strange, and every time they came into contact with the hammers, they were hit by a shockwave. Their bodies and geno cores were slowed, and they could not escape.
They couldn't help but look at Han Sen, wanting to see how long he could last. They wanted to see if there was a chance they could get out of there.
But when they saw what was happening, they froze.
The golden-haired spirit was tied up by a golden rope, and he fell to the ground. Han Sen was holding a spiral horn in his hand, and he had already plunged it into the golden-haired spirit's heart.
It wasn't just Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon that were frozen, either. The two spirits, one tall and one short, were shocked to see the blonde spirit's heart being pierced, and the blood gushing out of it.
Without saying a word, the two spirits turned around and ran. The Six-Eared White Tiger and Metallic Demon were delighted to see this, and they chased after them.
"Remember, the next time you brag, look at who you're up against."
Han Sen spoke to the golden-haired spirit, who had been tied up. Then, the spiral horn pierced through his heart and killed him once and for all.
The blonde spirit's eyes opened wide, and he stared at Han Sen. He wanted to say something, but he could not. His body turned into light and disappeared.
Han Sen knew this wasn't over yet, and as long as this guy didn't die, he'd come back for revenge. Seeing the look on his face before he returned to the spirit stone, Han Sen knew he hated Han Sen to the core.
Han Sen did not chase after the Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon. He went to the spirit statue and summoned Moment Queen. He wanted her to occupy the spirit statue first, so he could decide what to do next.
The spirit shelter's protective shield was turned on again, and the commotion died down. The creatures of the shelter were watching, eager to see who had become the new master of the shelter.
Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon did not seem to be able to catch up with the two spirits. When they returned to the Spirit Hall, they looked at Han Sen with caution.
"Do you mean what you said?" Metal Demon looked at Han Sen and asked.
They all knew how strong the blonde spirit was, and they couldn't fathom how Han Sen was able to kill him so quickly and cleanly.
"Of course it does. You can have the mine and the garden, but with rewards comes responsibilities. When the shelter needs you, you can't just stand by and do nothing," Han Sen said.
His power was limited, so it was good to have two mutant class helpers.
"Of course. If the spirits come back, we will fight them with all we have."
The Six-Eared White Tiger and Metal Demon were overjoyed. They had been worried that Han Sen would turn against them and leave them with nothing to gain.
With Han Sen's power, they didn't want to risk their lives to fight Han Sen.
Han Sen and the two mutant creatures discussed the details of Shadow Shelter, while the creatures and spirits outside were worried.
They did not know what kind of creature the new master of the shelter was, and they did not know what he would do. They were hesitant to leave Shadow Shelter and seek shelter elsewhere.
But the one who was most worried wasn't the creatures or spirits. Instead, it was a human in the shelter that was most worried.
Aside from Nan Litian, there was another human demi-god in the shelter. His name was Su Mianhua, and he was the most worried.
Su Mianhua was a famous professor in the field of genetics, and when he arrived in the Fourth God's Sanctuary, he met Nan Litian in Shadow Shelter.
After Nan Litian learned about Han Sen's situation, he brought him to Shadow Shelter. He gave Han Sen a lot of meat, which allowed him to increase his geno points.
But Nan Litian did not allow him to return to the Alliance. He did not allow him to go near the teleporter, and he kept him in the shelter for research.
Over the years, Su Mianhua knew that Nan Litian had killed many creatures that lived in the shelter. That was how Su Mianhua got his research materials.
In the beginning, Su Mianhua was forced to do research. But as a geneticist, Su Mianhua became addicted to his research.
Although there were no high-tech instruments here, Su Mianhua had obtained unexpected results from some of his primitive experiments.
Su Mianhua still needed Nan Litian to provide him with the materials he needed. But now that Nan Litian was dead, he didn't know what sort of creature had taken over the shelter, and if it was a violent one, there was a good chance he'd lose his life.
Su Mianhua had been doing research for many years, and his fitness was good because he had absorbed a lot of geno points. But he lacked combat experience. If he left the sanctuary, he didn't know if he could survive.
All the creatures and spirits looked at the spirit shelter, waiting for the arrival of a new master.
