Han Sen, on the other hand, was looking at the geno core being strengthened by the Rockman's beam. Every time the Rockman's eye fired a beam of light, the Crystal Egg would be strengthened. After the nine-colored beam, Han Sen could feel that the Crystal Egg was much stronger than before.
The Rockman's beam of light disappeared, and the Crystal Egg fell back into Han Sen's hands.
The Crystal Egg's shape hadn't changed, and it looked the same as before. But Han Sen's heart jumped, and the Crystal Egg began to shine with a nine-colored light. It meant it had been strengthened nine times.
"It looks like my body's genes and skills are too good. My geno core is ranked first. It's not challenging at all," Han Sen thought to himself, feeling a little smug.
Although Han Sen thought the black crystal's secretion had helped, he still had to take most of the credit.
He had taken first place, but the Crystal Egg's power still made Han Sen suspicious. Even if it had been strengthened nine times, the Crystal Egg's power still couldn't kill anyone. It couldn't destroy anything, either. That was the nature of the power, and no matter how many times it was strengthened, it wouldn't change that.
Han Sen didn't believe it could be ranked first.
But Han Sen's goal was to take first place. If he could take the test, it would be great.
"If the Crystal Egg is first, the Bulwark Umbrella shouldn't be any worse than the Crystal Egg," Han Sen thought to himself.
But Han Sen didn't want to test the Bulwark Umbrella right away. Once the geno core had a ranking, he'd have to accept challenges.
Normally, if Han Sen didn't enter the Geno Core Storage, he could reject all challenges. But the rules of the Geno Core Storage stated that he had to accept a challenge every month. If he didn't accept the challenge, the Geno Core Storage would declare him a loser.
It was scarier than losing a fight. If Han Sen lost the first place, he'd still be strengthened nine times.
However, if they didn't accept the challenge and were judged to have lost, then the enhancement that belonged to this ranking would also be erased.
So, no matter what, Han Sen would have to accept a challenge every month.
Of course, not every geno core could be challenged. The Geno Core Storage had nine tiers, and the challenger could only be one tier lower than the one being challenged.
That meant Crystal Egg was first place. Only the geno cores in the second tier could challenge it.
Although he only had to accept one challenge per month, if the Crystal Egg and the Bulwark Umbrella were both on the leaderboard at the same time, it would be easy to tell they were the same person if they were challenged twice a month.

Rockman kept on saying a bunch of names. Han Sen didn't count them, but he could tell there were at least seven people who wanted to challenge him.
So many people wanted to challenge him, but they didn't want to take first place. They wanted to see what sort of power the first geno core possessed, and they wanted to see what kind of creature possessed it.
Since there was no other way to find out, challenging the Crystal Egg was the only way. Every creature in the top ten, aside from Extreme True Demon and a creature in ninth place, challenged Han Sen.
Han Sen didn't reject the challenges, though. He was choosing who he wanted to fight.
He couldn't reject the challenge, though. If he did, the ninth strengthening of the egg would be canceled, and he'd have to start all over again.
Although he doubted the Crystal Egg's power, he was still confident in himself. He didn't think anyone of the same level would be able to beat him.
Even the son of an emperor had to start with a bronze geno core in the Fourth God's Sanctuary. His fitness and strength had to be improved slowly, too. Han Sen wasn't afraid of anyone of the same level.
Han Sen wanted to know what the egg's power was, too. If the Geno Core Storage had placed it first, there had to be a reason for it.
Han Sen chose the Heart of God Wheel. It was the highest-ranking geno core in Sacred Shelter.
Han Sen hated Sacred Shelter, and he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by. He wanted to use the Heart of God Wheel to vent his anger.
He wanted to accept the challenge, but then he thought about it. If he did, his identity would be exposed, and he'd offend Sacred Shelter. With his current power, there was no way he could fight them. Shadow Shelter might be razed to the ground the very next day.
"I should hide my identity."
Han Sen put on a full set of armor and left behind anything that could identify him. Then, he accepted the Heart of God Wheel's challenge.
"Challenge failed. The opponent is accepting the challenge."
Tai Yi Emperor and the others heard Rockman's voice, and they were disappointed. They wondered who the owner of the Crystal Egg had accepted the challenge.
Black Mountain God stared at Rockman, waiting for the result. Suddenly, Rockman said, "The opponent has accepted your challenge. Let the challenge begin."
After that, the bronze Geno Core Tablet twisted, and a black hole appeared in its place.
Black Mountain God was delighted. He flapped his black wings and flew into the black hole. Soon, he was in the Geno Battleground.
Black Mountain God landed on a broken wall of the battlefield and observed the entire battlefield. This battlefield was a broken ruin, and there were broken buildings and yellow sand everywhere. It was an ancient city in the desert.
Because the powers of the geno cores were different, some of them required a lot of space to unleash their powers. So, the Geno Battleground wasn't like an arena. It was a large space, and the people who participated in the Geno Core battles could do whatever they wanted without the limitations of their geno cores.
Black Mountain God soon saw a figure come through the black hole tunnel. His eyes immediately focused on the figure.
