But Ling Mei 'er shook her head and said, "I can't go."
"Why not?" Han Sen asked.
"Dark Spirit has an agreement with the other races. They cannot take over the shelters above ground," Ling Mei 'er said.
"What agreement?
Who did you make a deal with? "Han Sen asked.
Ling Mei 'er said, "I don't know. I only heard the elder say that the Hundred Race Treaty states that if I leave the underworld and go to the surface, even if I am killed, the elder can't avenge me."
Han Sen frowned. He didn't know what this Hundred Tribe Treaty was, either. Ling Mei 'er didn't know, either. She just knew it was a treaty between many powerful races, and Dark Spirit was one of them.
He couldn't get her to leave, so he followed her into the cave. It was just as shabby, and it looked no different from a primitive cave. King Snake must have been the one to open it up, but he couldn't even guarantee the most basic of living conditions, let alone comfort.
As for Ling Mei 'er's subordinates, aside from King Snake, there were only a few primitive and mutant creatures. There were also a few ordinary creatures, and there were less than twenty of them.
Most of the creatures Ling Mei 'er had found had only recently hatched from their eggs, and most of them only had bronze geno cores. They were incredibly weak, to say the least.
"Mei 'er, with such a strong ally like Snake King, you should be able to take down one of the underground shelters, no matter how few there are."
Han Sen did not understand why Ling Mei 'er, who had King Snake as her companion, was doing so badly.
Ling Mei 'er shook her head and said, "King Snake was sent by the elder to take care of me. He won't help me take down the shelter."
Han Sen's heart jumped, and he thought to himself, "It looks like Ling Mei 'er is very important to the Dark Spirit. If the Dark Spirit Elder sent a creature as strong as King Snake to protect her, then she must be very important to the Dark Spirit Elder."
Han Sen did not want to take Ling Mei 'er away, but he thought it would be nice to have a good relationship with her and learn more about the Dark Spirit.
And with the Hundred Tribe Agreement, the Fourth God's Sanctuary was not to be trifled with. Han Sen wanted to know more about it, too. If he killed a super creature, the parents and aunties of those creatures would come looking for him for revenge. There was no way Han Sen would be able to handle that.
So, Han Sen decided to stay in Ling Mei 'er's shelter. When it was time to eat, Ling Mei' er brought out something that looked like a mushroom and gave it to everyone.
Han Sen ate a little and found it hard to swallow. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't delicious, either. It was a mutant geno plant, so it wouldn't do much for Han Sen.
Ling Mei 'er saw Han Sen frown, and she was worried Han Sen would run away. So, she said, "You are the heir of a super creature, so these mushrooms won't do you much good. But they are still useful to you. Eat some, and I'll find you something better."
Han Sen nodded. It wasn't easy being the master of a shelter like Ling Mei 'er.
But Han Sen didn't want to eat the Stone Mushrooms. He took out some jerky and a drink from the Cruel Bottle and started to eat them.
Ordinary meat couldn't increase Han Sen's geno points, and super creature meat couldn't be obtained. So, Han Sen only brought food from the Alliance, such as spiced beef jerky and cola.
Han Sen ate and drank, and Ling Mei 'er sniffed the food and smelled it. She looked at the food in Han Sen's hands with her big, watery eyes.
"Do you want to eat?" Han Sen smiled at Ling Mei 'er.
Ling Mei 'er swallowed her saliva and said, "I am the master of this shelter, and you are my subordinate. I can't eat your food. Don't worry, I'll find you some good food soon."
When Han Sen heard this, he realized Ling Mei 'er really was treating him like a pet. But with the way she lived, any other creature would have starved and run away.
"Do you want to try some?" Han Sen asked.
Ling Mei 'er looked at the Coke and the jerky. She couldn't help but drool, but she shook her head.
"It's fine. Try some first. If you don't, how are you going to know what I like?
If you don't know what I like to eat, how are you going to find it? "Han Sen handed her a bag of jerky and a bottle of cola.
"I'll try some, then. I'll return the rest to you later."
Ling Mei 'er followed Han Sen's lead and pulled out a piece of jerky. She even took a sip of the drink.
Ling Mei 'er's eyes lit up, and she asked, "What is this?
What geno plant does this come from? "
"It's from the Beef Jerky Vine and the Cola Tree," Han Sen said.
"This tastes weird. Can I try a little more?" Ling Mei 'er swallowed her saliva and looked at Han Sen.
"Of course. Try some more and remember the taste. It is my favorite food," Han Sen said, squinting his eyes.
Ling Mei 'er then took out a piece of jerky and tasted it. Not long after, she' tasted 'the entire pack of jerky and the bottle of cola.
Seeing that Ling Mei 'er was still licking her fingers, he took out another packet and gave it to her. "This is spicy. I like it too. Try this."
"I'll try it for you, then."
Ling Mei 'er happily took the jerky and tore open the packaging. She put the jerky in her mouth.
"Eat! Fall! You can't escape from me," Han Sen thought to himself, feeling very cocky.
Ling Mei 'er tasted seven or eight packs of jerky and drank a few bottles of soft drinks. She rubbed her belly in satisfaction, and it looked like she was almost full.
While she was eating, Han Sen asked her a few more questions about the Underworld and Dark Spirit.
Ling Mei 'er couldn't tell Han Sen about Dark Spirit, but she told him everything she knew.
Although the Underworld was dominated by Dark Spirit, there were many other spirit and creature shelters. There were many gold shelters that had been claimed by other races, but Ling Mei 'er wasn't strong enough to claim one. That was why she hadn't been able to claim one of those shelters.
Ling Mei 'er only had a bronze geno core. Although she was a super creature, it wouldn't be easy for her to claim a gold shelter.
"Does a Dark Spirit have a bronze geno core?"
Han Sen asked. He thought a super creature with a bronze geno core was a baby, but he didn't think it was one that had a bronze geno core.
Every time a super creature's geno core evolved, their bodies would change as well. When a super creature's geno core reached super level, they would be considered fully grown.
