Han Sen and Elysian Moon weren't slow, either, and the minotaurs were unable to catch up with them.
Han Sen turned around, and his face changed. There were at least two hundred of the minotaurs chasing after them. They raised their red crystal spears and threw them at them like javelins.
The red crystal spears disappeared, and when they reappeared, they were raining down like rain. They covered a large area, and dodging them was impossible.
Han Sen gritted his teeth and raised his Bulwark Umbrella. He didn't have time to think about anything else, and he had to protect himself.
But the Bulwark Umbrella was only silver class. It was two levels lower than a gemstone class, so it was hard to say if it could block the red crystal spears.
Elysian Moon raised her umbrella to block the red crystal spears, too.
Suddenly, there was a clanging noise. Han Sen was surprised to find that the red crystal spears didn't shake the umbrella too much. They didn't break the umbrella, either.
"Are these minotaurs not all gemstone class?"
Han Sen wondered. He looked at Elysian Moon and noticed that her umbrella wasn't as lucky. The surface of the umbrella had been hit by the red crystal spears, and there were many marks on it. If they kept coming, the umbrella would be pierced.
Han Sen thought to himself, "Bulwark Umbrella is better for defense. Her umbrella geno core is gemstone class, but it couldn't block the red crystal spear. My Bulwark Umbrella is only silver class, and it can block it. The difference is too great."
As Han Sen thought about this, the minotaurs fired a second volley of red crystal spears at him.
Han Sen held onto the umbrella, and he heard the clanging sounds coming from it. The umbrella was fine, but Han Sen couldn't shake off the armored minotaurs. He had to use the umbrella to block the red crystal spears that were fired at him.
After running for a while, Han Sen heard a grunt behind him. He turned around and saw that Elysian Moon's umbrella had been pierced by a red spear. The spear went through the rib of the umbrella and into her shoulder. She groaned in pain.
The umbrella had already been struck by the red crystal spear too many times. After the same spot was struck multiple times, it couldn't take it anymore and was pierced through.
After all, Elysian Moon's umbrella wasn't particularly strong in terms of defense, so it wasn't surprising that it had been pierced.
Aside from the red crystal spear that had pierced her shoulder, there were a few more that had pierced the umbrella. They hadn't been able to pierce the umbrella, though.
"Come here!" Han Sen waved at Elysian Moon.
Han Sen now knew how scary the Geno Battleground was. It was better to have a companion than to wander around alone.
Elysian Moon looked at Han Sen strangely. Her gemstone geno core hadn't been able to block so many red crystal spears, but Han Sen's silver geno core had blocked them all.
But thinking about how she had looked down on Han Sen before, if she were to hide under his umbrella and be protected by him, it would be too embarrassing.
Elysian Moon gritted her teeth and kept running. She didn't go to Han Sen.
Han Sen didn't think Elysian Moon had a trick up her sleeve, so he didn't call out to her. He continued running into the forest, hoping to shake off the minotaurs.
Seeing that they were about to enter the forest, Han Sen looked back. Elysian Moon had closed her umbrella and was using it as a sword to deflect the incoming red crystal spears.
But there were too many red crystal spears, and she was already injured. One of them had even pierced her shoulder.
He watched as the heavily armored centaurs viciously waved their powerful arms and threw their red crystal spears at him again.
Elysian Moon's face was pale, and her clothes were soaked in blood. She was in a bad situation.
Han Sen thought about it for a moment, then decided to run back. He used his Bulwark Umbrella to shield her body. There was a lot of clanking noises, and the red crystal spears were all blocked.
"Why did you come back?" Elysian Moon gritted her teeth.
"Let's go." Han Sen grabbed Elysian Moon's waist and ran for the forest.
The Heavy Armor Minotaur was still running towards them. Its body was wrapped in heavy armor, and it was breaking trees as it chased after them.
"Put me down!" Elysian Moon was being held by Han Sen, and she looked embarrassed.
"My umbrella is only this big. It can fit two people, but we're running. You're injured, so let's wait until we lose them." Han Sen didn't let go of Elysian Moon, though, and he continued to run.
Looking back, those heavily armored Centaurs had smashed through the forest as if they were crushing dry weeds and smashing rotten wood. They were still charging at them from behind. Trees that required two people to wrap their arms around were directly smashed apart by them.
But when they knocked the trees away, their speed was slowed down. Han Sen used his nimble movements to put some distance between them and Han Sen.
After running for one hundred miles, he could no longer see any sign of the armored minotaurs. Han Sen stopped by a small river that ran through the forest.
Han Sen looked back, and he didn't hear any more footsteps. He felt relieved and said, "It looks like the minotaurs aren't coming after us."
"Put me down!" Elysian Moon, who was being held by Han Sen, blushed.
"Haha, I am sorry." Han Sen put Elysian Moon down.
"Are you okay?" Han Sen saw that Elysian Moon was still bleeding, so he asked her.
"I'm fine." Elysian Moon's body glowed like a moon, and she tried to heal herself.
But it didn't seem to be working. Her wounds weren't healing, and she was still bleeding. Her face was getting paler and paler.
"The power of those minotaurs is weird. My wounds aren't healing." After a while, Elysian Moon looked glum.
"Is that so?
Fortunately, you're a spirit. You can revive in the spirit stone, "Han Sen said.
Elysian Moon gave a wry smile and shook her head. "I lied to you. My spirit stone isn't in the spirit statue. It's in my body. If I die, I'll end up like you. I won't be able to revive."
Han Sen frowned, but he didn't say anything.
Elysian Moon went on to say, "I asked you to go to the spirit statue because I wanted you to break the spirit stone. The spirit stone in the spirit hall belongs to my enemy. I didn't want to escape; I just wanted to kill him."
