Chapter 1721

"There was a problem when I generated the geno armor. This is a medicine that needs to be heated," Han Sen said.

The Kate nodded, and then they stopped paying attention to the contents of the cooker.

The three of them packed up and went to shower. Han Sen looked at them with interest.

The Kate weren't a race that was difficult to get along with. From what Han Sen observed, the fitness of the Kate was better than that of humans, but that was only in terms of fitness. They weren't as smart as humans, either. And when it came to research, they weren't as good as humans. In fact, they were even worse than humans.

For example, when it came to fighting, Han Sen could tell that the Kate weren't any better than humans in terms of skill.

Han Sen hadn't seen a Noble fight yet, so he thought they might have some special skills.

Han Sen stayed in the dorm, and his three roommates had weird names. Han Sen called them Long, Suo Tu, and Kun.

They weren't hostile to Han Sen, but they weren't very friendly, either. They were just normal roommates.

Han Sen wasn't in a rush to see what was going on inside the cooker, though. He waited until the next morning, when Long and the others had all left. Then, he stopped the cooker and let the air out to see what was going on inside.

When he opened the pot, the smell of blood wafted out. Han Sen thought the bones were so hard, he wouldn't be able to get anything out of them.

But now that he had opened it, he was a little surprised. The whole pot of water had turned into a purplish-red color, and it was emitting a strong smell of blood. There was even steam bubbling inside, as if it was boiling blood.

Han Sen knew that wasn't possible, though. When blood was boiled, it should have solidified.

He used a spoon to scoop it up, and the bone was gone. There was not even a speck of dust left behind, which surprised him.

This was just an ordinary pressure cooker and water, but it had actually cooked the bones. Furthermore, it seemed that not even the dregs were left behind. It had completely merged into the water.

Smelling the pungent smell of blood, Han Sen wondered if it was actually edible.

But since it was something approved by the rules of the sanctuary, Han Sen decided to try it first. He scooped up some with a spoon and took a sip.

Han Sen frowned. It didn't taste good, and it felt like he was drinking warm blood.

Fortunately, Han Sen was used to eating raw meat. He had eaten all sorts of raw meat in the sanctuary, so he wasn't afraid of the smell of blood.

"Baron xenogeneic gene consumed. Baron gene + 0."

That familiar voice played in his head again. Han Sen was happy. Eating that thing really did work. It didn't increase his xenogeneic genes because there wasn't enough of it. It wasn't enough to make him change.

Han Sen picked up the cooker and drank the blood-like soup like a cow.

There was a heat in his belly, and it spread throughout his body. Han Sen felt his blood heat up, and it flowed faster.

As his blood heated up, so did his body. It made Han Sen feel as if he was in a sauna. His skin was red, and his body was releasing hot air.

Han Sen had almost finished the entire pot of soup, but he still hadn't heard the xenogeneic gene announcement. He hadn't gained a single gene.

"Is it because the bone is too small? Is it not enough to give me a single gene?" Han Sen felt depressed, so he drank the last few mouthfuls.

"Baron xenogeneic gene consumed. Baron gene + 1."

When Han Sen drank the last of the soup, he heard the voice he hadn't heard in a long time. His genes had increased. Although it was only a Baron gene, it was a good start for Han Sen.

It took an hour for the heat in his body to dissipate. His body temperature returned to normal, and Han Sen felt as if he had become stronger.

But Spell's armor didn't grow along with him. That surprised Han Sen.

The xenogeneic gene had only strengthened Han Sen's body. It hadn't strengthened his Spell armor, so Han Sen didn't know why.

As Han Sen rejoiced, Kun returned to the dorms. She told Han Sen to gather. They had accepted a mission, and they were going to hunt xenogeneics.

Han Sen followed Kun. He was in a team with Kun and Long. There were ten people in the team, and they were led by a captain.

There were twenty teams gathered in the plaza of the base. Under the command of a captain, they all boarded an airship and took off.

Han Sen knew Hardman was using him as a cannon fodder. He had been prepared for this, so he didn't mind. In fact, he was looking forward to it.

Hardman was using him as an ordinary soldier, but the contract he signed was different. Ordinary soldiers only received a salary and bonuses, but if Han Sen killed a xenogeneic, he could get a share of the loot. And he had a decent salary.

Han Sen didn't see the Nobles, so he didn't think they were with the ordinary soldiers.

"Where are we going?" Han Sen quietly asked Suo Tu.

Suo Tu shrugged his shoulders and said, "We are just ordinary soldiers. We don't know where to go. It doesn't matter where we go."

"If it is so dangerous, why did you join the hunting team?" Han Sen asked with confusion.

"Because there is enough money to be made here," Suo Tu said.

After that, Suo Tu pulled out a wallet and showed it to Han Sen. There was a picture of a beautiful Kate woman holding a little Kate girl. They were both smiling.

But the little girl had no hair. Her cat ears had no fur, either. She was bald and weird.

"My daughter's genes have a problem. I need a lot of money to pay for medical treatment. She needs expensive geno fluids every day to keep her alive. That is why I am here," Suo Tu said calmly.

Han Sen didn't say anything. He wasn't good at comforting people, and he didn't know what to say to make them feel better.

"I'm not telling you this because I want you to sympathize with me. I'm just telling you to be careful. If you're in danger, neither I nor anyone else here will take the risk to save you." Suo Tu took back his wallet and said flatly.

"You are a good person," Han Sen said, looking at Suo Tu. He knew the man was telling him to be careful.
