Han Sen planned to practice in the mountains. He didn't need to practice Teeth Knife, but there were too many spies in the base. If Han Sen stayed in the base and didn't practice, people would start to suspect him.
So, Han Sen planned to practice in the mountains. He wasn't going to practice Teeth Knife, though. He was going to practice the Dongxuan Sutra.
Now, Mutant Blood and Jadeskin had become Viscount. Only the Dongxuan Sutra and The Story of Genes were left. The Story of Genes was not something that could be leveled up by practicing, so he couldn't rush it. So, Han Sen had to focus on the Dongxuan Sutra.
This time, Han Sen didn't bring anyone with him. He wanted to break through his limits, and he needed to challenge those who were stronger than he was. It was too dangerous to bring anyone else with him.
Fortunately, Planet Eclipse had a lot of resources. Xie Qing King and the others could hunt xenogeneics on their own. The people from the sanctuaries could eat xenogeneic genes and obtain beast souls. They improved much faster than the creatures of the geno universe.
"Xenogeneic Gene Eaten: Ironback Wolf. Viscount Gene + 1."
Han Sen ate a piece of barbecued xenogeneic meat, and his Viscount genes started working again. Since he had a battle body that leveled up to Viscount, he could increase his Viscount genes. But eating Baron xenogeneic genes was pointless. He had to eat xenogeneic genes that were Viscount or higher.
Hunting Viscount xenogeneics was a piece of cake for Han Sen. He had been in the mountains for five or six days, and Han Sen's Viscount genes were quickly increasing.
Han Sen was now a thousand miles into the mountains, and he encountered a few powerful Marquise creatures. Han Sen used his rabbit shoes to escape, so he wasn't in too much danger.
"What is this?" Han Sen was walking up the mountain when he noticed a strange mountain.
Planet Eclipse's climate was too harsh. There was not a single blade of grass growing on the planet. The mountains were mostly bare rocks.
But the mountain in front of Han Sen was green. There were old trees everywhere, and many of them were blooming with flowers. Some of them even had fruit.
The sounds of birds and insects came from the mountain. Even from a distance, Han Sen could feel the lifeforce of the mountain.
"Planet Eclipse has a mountain like this?"
Han Sen felt a little strange. He looked around and found that the nearby mountains were all bare except for this mountain.
Han Sen carefully walked towards the mountain. There must be a reason why this mountain was so full of vitality. Perhaps there were some treasures there. Han Sen planned to go up and take a look.
Stepping into the forest, Han Sen noticed that although the lifeforce was strong, the trees, birds, and insects were all normal creatures. There wasn't a single xenogeneic in sight.
"This is weird. Xenogeneic plants can't grow on Planet Eclipse, and xenogeneic creatures can't survive here, either. How do ordinary plants and creatures survive here?" Han Sen was very curious.
Han Sen walked carefully up the mountain. Everywhere he went, he saw normal plants and creatures. When he stepped into the mountain, it was like he had left Planet Eclipse.
After walking for an hour, Han Sen finally reached the top. What he saw surprised Han Sen.
At the top of the mountain, between the trees, there was a small clearing. There was a wooden house in the middle of the clearing. It looked very old.
"Is anyone there?"
Han Sen shouted at the wooden house. He felt strange, and he thought to himself, "Who built a wooden house here and lives in a place like this?"
But no one answered. Han Sen hesitated, and then he walked up to the wooden house. The windows were open, so Han Sen looked in.
The furnishings inside were simple. There was a wooden table, chairs, and bed. Even the teapot and teacups were made of wood. It looked as if everything had been made of wood.
Because the wooden house wasn't big, Han Sen could see everything in one glance. But there was a room in the back that he couldn't see from the outside.
"Is there anyone there?"
Han Sen asked a few more times, but there was still no answer. Han Sen walked up to the door and tried to push it. The door swung open, and it wasn't locked.
Han Sen walked into the house and looked around. He didn't see anything new, so he went to the room.
When he walked in, Han Sen was shocked. There was a person standing next to the bed, facing Han Sen. His eyes were open.
"That's not right. I was outside for a long time. I thought this was an empty house," Han Sen quickly explained. But then, he realized something was wrong. He looked shocked.
It was a person standing next to the bed. It was a man. His presence told Han Sen that he was a human.
The man stood there without moving. He didn't look at Han Sen, either.
"Excuse me …" Han Sen looked at the man and spoke carefully. He wanted to know who the man was and why a human would be there.
But Han Sen didn't think he was a human. He might have been a crystallizer that had been left behind in the geno universe.
Han Sen asked a few more times, but the man didn't respond. It made him think he was dead, but he had a lifeforce. He couldn't be dead.
"My name is Han Sen. Do you know …?"
Han Sen asked, but the man suddenly moved. He put his finger in front of his lips and made a gesture to be quiet.
Han Sen saw that the man wasn't going to attack, so he relaxed. He stopped talking and waited to see what the man was going to do.
Han Sen waited for an hour. The man didn't move or speak. If Han Sen hadn't been able to sense his lifeforce, he would have been mistaken for a statue.
"Is he practicing? But it doesn't look like it."
Han Sen was confused, but his curiosity was piqued. He sat on a wooden bench and looked at the man. He wanted to know what he was doing.
But Han Sen waited for ten hours. The man was like a statue. He didn't move.
"Friend, can we talk?" Han Sen couldn't help but ask.
"Shh!" The man quickly made a gesture to be quiet.
Han Sen felt depressed. He didn't know what the man was doing. If this continued, he wouldn't be able to get anything out of him.
Han Sen looked around the room. It was the same as the room outside. It was made of simple wood. Han Sen's eyes quickly fell upon a table. He had noticed that there was something there that wasn't made of wood. It was some paper, a pen, and a book.
"Friend, do you mind if I take a look at those things?"
Han Sen walked in front of the table and looked at the things on it. There was a diary that he opened, and there were many words written on the pages.
Han Sen didn't look at it, though. He asked the man first.
The man was very nervous. He made a gesture to be quiet.
"If you don't object, I'll take that as a yes," Han Sen said, looking at what was written.
