Han Sen was surprised, too. He wasn't surprised that Spell had been able to kill the Ghost Claw Beast. He was surprised that Spell's pistols could be turned into sniper rifles.
"It looks like Spell can use all sorts of weapons. It doesn't have to be a weapon," Han Sen thought to himself.
He had just ordered Spell to kill the Ghost Claw Beast, and Spell had made the decision to use the sniper rifle, which had greater penetrative and destructive power.
Of the three types of weapons, the pistol had the shortest attack range and the least destructive power. But it could be fired quickly and at different points.
The sniper rifle had the longest attack range, and it had the most destructive power. Its penetrative power was strong, too, but after each shot, it needed time to recharge.
The rocket launcher did not have the same attack range as the sniper rifle, but it had an area of effect. It also needed more time to recharge.
The three types of weapons had their own advantages, and it was hard to say which one was stronger. It could be used in different environments and situations, and it could be used against different enemies. That was the best thing about Spell's geno armament. It could be used in all sorts of situations.
Not long after Han Sen killed the Ghost Claw Beast, Yun Sushang and Thousand Feather Crane finished off the five Face Centipedes.
Han Sen dug through the wall and saw a monkey-looking jade monster with a hole in its head. It was the Earl Ghost Claw Beast.
Yun Suyi saw Spell hit the Ghost Claw Beast's forehead, and she was shocked. She had been able to pinpoint the location of the Ghost Claw Beast's head through the wall. That was impressive. She didn't think she could do that.
The few of them dug up the xenogeneic genes and continued forward. The Ghost Claw Beast's xenogeneic gene was a black skull, and the Face Centipede's xenogeneic gene was a small piece of shell on its back.
"We have just entered Xuanyuan Cave, and we have already found something like this. It looks like we are very lucky. Even if we go back now, we won't lose anything." Yun Sushang smiled.
As they ventured deeper into Xuanyuan Cave, Han Sen realized that encountering xenogeneics was no easy feat. They walked for two hours, but they didn't encounter another xenogeneic.
"Han Sen, your geno armament is amazing. It looks like an intelligent creature, and it can change weapons. What is her name?" Yun Suyi asked, following Han Sen.
"Incantation," Han Sen replied.
"That's a good name." Perhaps it was because Han Sen had saved her twice, but Yun Suyi's attitude toward Han Sen had improved. She kept talking to Han Sen.
"Shh!"
Thousand Feather Crane gestured for silence, and everyone quieted down. Thousand Feather Crane put his ear against the wall to listen. This made Han Sen break out in a cold sweat. If a Xuan Jade Spirit came out of the wall, Thousand Feather Crane would be done for.
Fortunately, that didn't happen. Thousand Feather Crane was only doing this because he was confident. After a while, Thousand Feather Crane raised his head. He looked serious and said, "I heard the voice of a Xuanyuan Dragon."
Hearing that name, the Yun sisters and First Day's faces changed. Yun Sushang frowned and said, "How far is it? Is it coming for us?"
"It sounds like it is coming for us." Thousand Feather Crane looked serious.
"If the five of us fight a Xuanyuan Dragon, I don't think we can win. Why don't we just leave?" First Day suggested.
"Sure." Thousand Feather Crane and Yun Sushang didn't object.
Han Sen didn't know what a Xuanyuan Dragon was, but if they thought they should leave, Han Sen didn't mind.
As they walked back, First Day explained, "The Xuanyuan Dragon is one of the strongest xenogeneics in Xuanyuan Cave. It is a Marquise xenogeneic. We can't fight it."
Han Sen nodded, but then his face changed. Spell fired her guns, and many bullets were fired at the ground beneath Han Sen's feet.
A pair of ghost claws came out of the ground. They tried to grab Han Sen's legs, but the bullets pierced through them. The claws disappeared into the stone.
But more ghost claws came out of the ground. Han Sen and the others were in danger.
Yun Sushang swung her sword to protect Yun Suyi. Thousand Feather Crane and First Day used their powers to fight back against the ghost claws.
But there were too many ghost claws. They didn't know how many were down there. Han Sen and the others were Earls, but Yun Suyi was only a Viscount. She couldn't protect herself, so she had to rely on Yun Sushang, Thousand Feather Crane, and First Day to protect her.
"Something is wrong. Why are there so many Ghost Claw Beasts?" Yun Sushang said, as she fought the Ghost Claw Beasts.
"I think the Ghost Claw Beasts know the Xuanyuan Dragon is coming, so they're trying to stop us from leaving," Thousand Feather Crane said.
First Day said, "Yes. These guys are just trying to harass us. They don't get too close to the wall, so we can't find a chance to hurt them. Cutting off their claws won't do much. They can regenerate them quickly."

Spell fired her sniper rifle, and the bullet hit the wall. Blood gushed out of the hole.
"You guys protect Suyi and keep going. Lure them out, and I'll let Spell kill them," Han Sen said, as he continued to walk.
Spell had already hit many of the Ghost Claw Beasts with her pistol. She had left a Curse Spirit on them, so she knew where they were. If they got close to the ground, she'd kill them before they could reach out their claws.
But the sniper rifle's power was very strong. Every time she fired a bullet, Spell had to regenerate it. It took her a second to do that, so she couldn't keep killing them.
Even so, it was still very scary.
Thousand Feather Crane and the others protected Yun Suyi as they ran. Spell fired her gun every second, and each time, she managed to kill a Ghost Claw Beast in the rock.
"Xenogeneic Earl hunted: Xuan Jade Ghost Claw Beast. Xenogeneic gene found. Obtained Xuan Jade Ghost Claw Beast beast soul."
When Spell killed the eighth Ghost Claw Beast, Han Sen heard the announcement that he had obtained a beast soul.
They didn't have time to see what type of Ghost Claw Beast soul it was. They didn't even have time to dig up the bodies of the Ghost Claw Beasts. They just kept going.
Yun Sushang and Thousand Feather Crane watched a few more times, and they noticed that Spell was hitting the Ghost Claw Beasts every time. She killed them before they could even reach out their claws. It was very strange, and they couldn't figure out how Spell was doing it.
But they didn't have time to think about it. Spell killed many Ghost Claw Beasts, but many were still harassing them. They were slowing down their escape.
"The Xuanyuan Dragon is coming!" Thousand Feather Crane shouted, his face changing.
Following his shout, a strange cry that sounded like a bull's came from the depths of the cave. Then, a black figure with a strong bloody aura charged out from one of the cave's branches.
