"I think it's just a coincidence," Han Sen said casually.
Thousand Feather Crane didn't believe in coincidences, but they were used to it happening to Han Sen.
"I'm going to take a look." After saying goodbye to Thousand Feather Crane, Han Sen went up to the fifth floor.
The people on the fifth floor were all Marquise students. The jade spirits were good for leveling up Marquise, too. Many Marquise went there to hunt them. Every jade spirit was guarded by a few Marquise students.
When the jade spirits came out, it was hard to say who would be the one to claim them. You weren't allowed to fight in the White Jade Building.
That was one of the reasons Sky Palace wanted to limit the number of people allowed into White Jade Jing. After all, resources were limited, and there were many students who needed them.
Without stopping, Han Sen went up to the sixth floor. There were many Sky students on the sixth floor, and there were still two or three Marquise students in front of each painting. Everyone had to rely on their luck.
After going up to the seventh floor, the number of people decreased. There were only five or six Marquise students on the seventh floor. Han Sen recognized one of them. It was Phyllostachys Longipes, who had just become a Marquise during the exam.
Phyllostachys Longipes saw Han Sen, too. He waved his hand at Han Sen, as if he was inviting Han Sen over.
Han Sen hadn't expected Phyllostachys Longipes to call him. After a moment of shock, he walked over to Phyllostachys Longipes.
"Do you have time after we leave White Jade Jing?" Phyllostachys Longipes asked.
"Yes. What is it?" Han Sen looked at Phyllostachys Longipes with confusion.
"Are you interested in hunting cloud beasts in Rainbow Cloud Peak?" Phyllostachys Longipes didn't beat around the bush, and he got straight to the point.
"I am interested in hunting xenogeneics," Han Sen said with a smile. "But if you and I go together, do you think the xenogeneics will survive?"
Phyllostachys Longipes pursed his lips. "That cloud beast has been roaming the Iridescent Clouds for hundreds of millions of years. Until now, no one has been able to capture it. I want to tame it as a mount. If you're interested, you can come along. It'll belong to whoever gets it."
"No way. If so many elites in Sky Palace can't deal with that cloud beast, what's the point of us going there?" Han Sen thought about Yu Shan-shin. He didn't believe there was a xenogeneic they couldn't handle.
If even they couldn't handle it, Han Sen didn't think he could either.
"Sky Palace's resources aren't available to just anyone. You need to have the identity of a teacher to enter Rainbow Cloud Peak. To protect the resources from being killed, only Marquise teachers are allowed to enter. I don't want Dukes killing all the xenogeneics there.
In all these years, no one in Sky Palace has been able to kill that cloud beast, "Phyllostachys Longipes said casually.
"That means the cloud beast's good days are coming to an end. If you and I go together, it'll have to kneel and call us daddy." Han Sen laughed.
"I don't know if it will call us daddy, but I'm sure it doesn't have legs," Phyllostachys Longipes said seriously.
"Okay." Han Sen shrugged his shoulders and agreed to go to Rainbow Cloud Peak with Phyllostachys Longipes after White Jade Jing was over.
Han Sen asked Phyllostachys Longipes more about the cloud beast. Phyllostachys Longipes explained, and the more Han Sen listened, the more he thought the cloud beast looked like the small cloud beast Han Sen had raised in the sanctuaries.
Han Sen had raised many small cloud beasts. He wanted a super class cloud beast soul, but he never got one.
"I don't know if the cloud beast can drop a beast soul, but even if it does drop a beast soul, it won't be the same as the small cloud beast soul in the sanctuaries," Han Sen thought to himself.
Looking around the seventh floor, Han Sen saw many jade spirit portraits with no one in front of them. So, he chose a Jade Fairy Spirit and sat down in front of it.
When the Jade Air came out, the Jade Fairy Spirit flew out of the jade wall. Just like on the fourth floor, the Jade Fairy Spirit jumped into Han Sen's body. It was like it was possessed, and it overlapped with Han Sen's body.
Han Sen felt his body freeze. This Jade Fairy Spirit was much colder than the one on the fourth floor. If it wasn't for Han Sen's Jadeskin, he wouldn't have been able to withstand it.
Han Sen ran Jadeskin like crazy, and he felt his cells explode. When the coldness was suppressed by Jadeskin, the Jade Fairy Spirit came out of his body. It turned into a Jade Fairy Spirit Orb in front of Han Sen.
Han Sen grabbed the Jade Fairy Spirit Orb, but he didn't refine it immediately. Instead, he walked over to the first Jade Fairy Spirit portrait. When he stood in front of the portrait, the Jade Fairy Spirit in the portrait came alive. It came out of Han Sen's body.
Han Sen refined another Jade Fairy Spirit, and the Jade Air was still coming out. A few other Sky Palace students were still trying to refine it, but no one had succeeded yet.
"Jadeskin is very useful in the White Jade Jing. I am only an Earl, and yet I can refine Jade Spirits so easily. If I become a Marquise, I'll be able to refine many Jade Spirits in minutes." Han Sen was very cocky. He walked over to the next Jade Spirit portrait.
Because there were no Jade Fairy Spirit portraits, Han Sen chose a White Jade Tiger portrait. He sat down in front of the mural.
"Roar!" The tiger's roar shook Han Sen's soul. It almost made him cough up blood.
Han Sen thought he could refine it as easily as he had with the Jade Fairy Spirit, but he didn't expect something like this to happen. His blood was in a mess.
Fortunately, Han Sen's will was strong. He didn't panic. He focused his mind and put the blood back into his veins. He used all his power to refine the White Jade Tiger.
It was also a Jade Air spirit, but Han Sen found it difficult to refine the White Jade Tiger. It wasn't as easy as when he had suppressed the Jade Fairy Spirit.
The White Jade Tiger kept roaring on his body, causing his head to buzz. There were a few times when he almost vomited blood.
When Han Sen finally suppressed the White Jade Tiger, he opened his eyes. The Jade Air was gone, and the Sky Palace students had all left. Only Phyllostachys Longipes was waiting for him.
The White Jade Tiger turned into a Jade Tiger Spirit Orb. Han Sen put it away, and then he looked at Phyllostachys Longipes and asked, "What time is it?"
"White Jade Jing has been closed for five hours," Phyllostachys Longipes answered.
Han Sen was shocked. It had taken him less than half an hour to suppress the two Jade Fairy Spirits, but it had taken him seven hours to suppress the White Jade Tiger.
But the white jade tiger did not have more jade air than the Jade Fairy Spirit. That could only mean one thing. The Jade Fairy Spirit was very compatible with Jadeskin, and that was why it was so easy to refine. But the white jade tiger was not compatible with Jadeskin, and that was why it was so difficult.
