"Knife Queen wants Han Sen to be Cold Palace's guard. She is doing this for Han Sen," Night River King said coldly in Full Moon Conference Room.
"Knife Queen is this generation's Cold Palace gatekeeper," Black-Moon King coldly said. "Now that she has been summoned to the Extreme King, her student will be the gatekeeper. That is understandable."
"Cold Palace's guard has always been the best of the Rebate. Even if Knife Queen is unable to perform her duties, she should have chosen a King to replace her. She shouldn't have let Han Sen, who is just a Marquise."
Night River King looked at Moonwheel Of Gojoseon and said, "Mister Moonwheel, do you think we should choose a new King to replace Han Sen in Cold Palace?"
Moon Wheel King muttered, "Right now, Dao Feng is still the gatekeeper. I'm afraid this is not the right thing to do."
"Why would it be inappropriate?
The gatekeepers were supposed to be Kings, but Han Sen was only a Marquise. What if something happened to him?
I am doing this for the sake of the entire race. If something happens, who will be responsible? "Night River King said.
"That makes sense." Dark Shadow King said.
Flower King didn't say anything, though. He sat where he was, thinking.
Black Moon King laughed coldly and said, "Night River, you are in too much of a rush.
Han Sen is Knife Queen's temporary guard. If you force him to go, how are you going to explain this to her when she returns? "
"I am Night River. I am doing this for the sake of the Rebate. Even if Knife were here, I would say the same thing," Night River King said.
"Really?
Then why didn't you refute Dao Feng when she brought this up? "
Black Moon King sneered disdainfully, "You only dare to spout nonsense here because you think Dao Feng will most likely not return after being summoned to the Galaxy of Chaos.
But don't forget, Knife might not necessarily die. What if she comes back alive and becomes deified? If you treat her student like this, Knife's temper won't allow it. "
"Black Moon King, I'm talking about the situation, not the person. Don't slander me," Night River King argued, but his tone was a little weaker.
"Since Blade has personally appointed him as the replacement, let's let Han Sen try. If he fails, it won't be too late to replace him. What do you all think?" Moonwheel Of Gojoseon looked at Flower King and the others.
Flower King smiled and said, "I don't mind. Even if Han Sen can't be the gatekeeper, it won't be my turn."
"Okay," Shadow King said coldly.
Black Moon King didn't mind, but Night River King looked glum. Still, he didn't say anything.
…
Han Sen went to Planet Blade. Yisha had left Narrow Moon two days ago. Snowbird Duke, who was in charge of the place, was there to greet Han Sen.
When Han Sen saw Snowbird Duke, he was shocked. Snowbird Duke and Icebird Duke looked exactly the same. Even their expressions were similar. They were both very cold.
Icebird Duke had been imprisoned by Han Sen in Purgatory Heaven. Because Han Sen didn't want to reveal his identity and the secrets of Purgatory Heaven, he hadn't let her out.
Now that he saw Snowbird Duke, he felt strange.
Snowbird Duke's senses were very sharp. She noticed that Han Sen was acting strangely, but she misunderstood. She coldly said, "Don't be confused. Icebird Duke is my little sister."
"I see. No wonder they look so alike." Han Sen then asked, "Why haven't I seen you before?"
"Before Queen accepted you as a student, I was sent out to do some work. I only came back recently. You haven't seen me before."
Snowbird Duke didn't seem interested in talking to Han Sen. She stood up and said, "Follow me. Queen told me to take you to Cold Palace."
Han Sen saw that Snowbird Duke wasn't interested in talking to him, so he didn't say anything. He followed her out the back door of the palace.
"Isn't Cold Palace in the palace?" Han Sen asked with confusion.
"It isn't," Snowbird Duke said emotionlessly.
Han Sen thought his question was unnecessary. He rubbed his nose and followed Snowbird Duke. They reached the mountains behind the palace.
As Han Sen wondered where Cold Palace was, Snowbird Duke stopped outside the mountains.
"That is where you want to go. I don't have permission, so I can only take you this far." Snowbird Duke pointed at a waterfall deep in the mountains.
Beside the waterfall, there was a stone house made of stone. The stone house was low and short, perhaps only two meters high at most.
Looking at the height of the stone door, Han Sen was afraid that if he did not bend down at a ninety-degree angle, there would be a wound between his head and the beam.
Seeing the small, broken stone house, Han Sen was confused. "Is that Cold Palace?"
Han Sen was confused, but he now had an answer. Above the stone door, there was a plaque that read "Cold Palace."
"Queen told me that on the first and fifteenth of every month, you have to guard the door twenty-four hours a day. You can do whatever you want with the rest of your time, but you cannot be late." After that, Snowbird Duke walked away.
Han Sen walked to the waterfall in the mountains alone. The waterfall was very beautiful, and it was very wide. It felt like the water of the Milky Way was pouring down from the sky. The sound of the water was deafening, and there was a smell of fresh water.
As he approached the stone house, Han Sen noticed that the temperature had dropped. Although it wasn't enough to affect his body, it was definitely a cold palace. It was very different from the hot and humid environment of Planet Blade.
Han Sen looked at the stone house, but he didn't notice anything strange about it. Aside from the low temperature, it looked like a normal stone house. The stone house was covered in dust, and it looked as if no one had been there for a long time.
"It's a stone house, and it's built in a place like this without any protection. Is there really something worth guarding?" Han Sen was confused.
But that day wasn't the first or fifteenth of the month. Han Sen didn't need to guard the place. He looked around for a while, and after memorizing the path, he prepared to leave the mountains.
But when Han Sen reached the exit of the mountains, he felt his heart jump. His whole body went into alert mode, and he stared at the entrance of the mountain.
A figure slowly walked out from the entrance of the mountain. That figure seemed to be walking very casually, but there was a pressure like a tsunami pressing down on them. With every step he took, the aura and pressure became stronger. It was as if he was treading on the waves, bringing with him the momentum of stormy waves crashing against the shore.
