"The queen is no longer here. What is the point of keeping the palace?" Han Sen said coldly as he held the bone needle.
"That is my business. Just do what I tell you," Yisha said.
Han Sen smiled at Yisha and said, "I am sorry, my queen. I am a free man, and I don't like being a guard. You should go back to your palace."
Yisha had a wry smile. "If I could go back, I wouldn't be talking so much."
She wanted to say something, but Han Sen's eyes suddenly froze. He stared at the statue with a serious expression. He held the bone needle in his hand and threw it at the statue.
Yisha sighed. She had studied the bone needle for a while, and although it was very hard and indestructible, it didn't have any special powers. She couldn't feel any power from it. If she could use the bone needle to break the statue's power, she wouldn't be trapped here.
But Yisha was shocked to see that Han Sen's bone needle wasn't blocked. The statue, which was sure to hit, didn't react to the bone needle. It just watched as the bone needle pierced its forehead.
"How … how is that possible?" Yisha's eyes opened wide. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
When the bone needle pierced the statue's forehead, the bone needle glowed with a red light. The light grew brighter and brighter, and then the statue's body started to shake. There was a "katcha katcha" sound of stone breaking.
Pang!
Suddenly, the stone statue broke. Yisha and the blood kirin, who were in the statue's hands, fell to the ground because of the broken hands.
The blood kirin had just been injured, so it hadn't lost much of its power. After it fell, it flipped over and landed on the blood cloud.
Yisha was dying, and her blood was running dry. Her lifeforce was very weak, and she didn't have the power to react. Her body fell to the ground.
Han Sen moved and picked her up. He smiled and said, "My queen, it looks like you will have to go back to the palace."
The purple air on the jade bridge was gone, and the giant statue broke. Yisha was still in Han Sen's arms. She looked at Han Sen from below, and she felt strange.
She had never seen a man from this angle before. She had always looked down on everyone. She had never been in a situation like this before. It made her feel weak.
The statue broke, and the purple air on the jade bridge faded away. Han Sen, the blood kirin, and Yisha's bodies returned to normal. The jade bridge returned to its original shape. Standing on the bridge, they could see the thirteen portals and the other twelve jade bridges.
But Fox Queen and the others were gone. They must have left the palace through the teleporter.
Because of the blood kirin's injury, Han Sen didn't ride it. He picked up Yisha and walked down the jade bridge.
"Are you not going to keep going?" Yisha asked weakly, leaning against Han Sen's chest.
"Of course I am going to keep going. But before that, I am going to walk all thirteen bridges," Han Sen said with a smile.
Han Sen wanted to walk the thirteen bridges because he wanted the power of the statue.
After obtaining the bone needle, he learned that the bone needle was a treasure that worked with Blood-Pulse Plunder. But to use Blood-Pulse Plunder, he had to defeat the enemy. When the enemy couldn't fight back, he could use Blood-Pulse Plunder to steal the enemy's Blood-Pulse.
When facing a powerful enemy, he couldn't beat them. Blood-Pulse Plunder wouldn't be very useful.
But now that he had the bone needle, things were different. He could gather the power of Blood-Pulse Plunder on the bone needle. If he stabbed the bone needle into the enemy's body, the bone needle would steal the enemy's Blood-Pulse. Han Sen just had to stab the bone needle.
Although the bone needle didn't have much power, Han Sen still had to rely on himself. But stabbing the needle was much easier than defeating the enemy.
The statues on the thirteen bridges had been prepared for the owner of Blood-Pulse Plunder and the bone needle. The bone needle could pierce the statues and steal their Blood-Pulse power. It was just like what Han Sen had done to the Gargoyle. Now, the bone needle had a drop of concentrated hell blood inside it.
It was just a drop of blood, but it was the blood of hell power. It was a deified power.
The other twelve bridges had to have a similar deified blood. Han Sen wasn't going to let it go.
Han Sen changed his position and put Yisha on his back.
Then, he walked onto another jade bridge.
Just as Han Sen expected, the first half of the jade bridge was safe.
He walked to the statue in the middle of the bridge.
Han Sen used the bone needle to extract the Blood-Pulse power from the statue.
The statue collapsed, and the jade bridge lost its power.
It became a normal jade bridge.
Han Sen walked across the jade bridges and extracted the Blood-Pulse power from the statues. Yisha was shocked. She didn't know why the bone needle was so powerful when it was in Han Sen's hands.
Yisha had only picked up the bone needle. She didn't know that it needed to be used with Blood-Pulse Plunder. Without Blood-Pulse Plunder, the bone needle was useless.
Sacred Leader's items were useful, but for some reason, the second Sacred Leader statue had been destroyed. That was why Han Sen hadn't been able to get the bone needle. He hadn't expected Yisha to get it, and now it was in Han Sen's hands.
Sacred Leader hadn't cut off all the paths, but he'd left some things behind. Those things were all connected, and Han Sen thought it was strange. He couldn't guess why Sacred Leader would do something like this.
Silver Ingot, Blood-Pulse Plunder, bone skill, and thirteen Blood-Pulse powers. They were all valuable treasures. If word of them got out, deifieds would fight over them.
All those treasures were just a test set by Sacred Leader. Han Sen didn't know how scary Sacred Leader's treasures were.
"My Queen, are you afraid of pain?" Han Sen asked, looking at Yisha in his arms.
Yisha was shocked. She didn't know what Han Sen meant by that.
"I mean, are you afraid of needles?" Han Sen asked, blinking.
"Needles?" Yisha looked at Han Sen with shock.
Han Sen held the bone needle in his hand. He smiled at Yisha and said, "If you are afraid, close your eyes. The pain will be over."
After that, Han Sen plunged the bone needle into Yisha's chest. A drop of hell blood came out of the needle and mixed with Yisha's blood.
If they wanted to keep going, they had to find a way to deal with Fox Queen. Without a deified elite, no one could defeat her.
Even if Han Sen absorbed a deified Blood-Pulse, he would only receive a deified Blood-Pulse. He wouldn't become deified. But Yisha was different. She was only half a step away from becoming deified. If she received a complete hell Blood-Pulse, she would have a much higher chance of becoming deified. That would be their biggest asset in fighting for Sacred Leader's treasure.
