Han Sen's days weren't going well. He had beaten Bai Wuchang, but the primary root king dragon was claimed by a prince.
Han Sen wasn't strong enough to beat a King class prince and seven half-deified knights. Even if he could win, Bai Wei wouldn't want to offend the prince. So, she didn't plan on fighting for it.
Bai Wei chose a small king dragon to practice on, but Han Sen didn't think it was a good idea to do that. If it wasn't a primary root king dragon, the amount of king air he could get was limited. He'd rather refine his own Ghost Bone power.
King Bai had one hundred princes and princesses, but he only had thirty primary root king dragons. It was unlikely he'd be able to claim a primary root king dragon without fighting, unless he was extremely lucky.
So, Bai Wei and Han Sen had to practice on small king dragon roots. Fortunately, Han Sen had brought many Duke xenogeneic genes with him. They were the resources Yisha had given him when he became the holy child of Narrow Moon.
Han Sen had brought enough Duke xenogeneic genes. After eating them all, his Duke genes maxed out at one hundred.
"Jadeskin Battle Body has reached the requirements to open a gene lock. Do you want to open the gene lock?"
"Mutant Blood Battle Body has reached the requirements to open a gene lock. Do you want to open the gene lock?"
Two announcements sounded in Han Sen's head. It surprised Han Sen, and he didn't know what was going on.
Han Sen's heart jumped. Jadeskin started to cast. His entire body turned into ice jade. It was as if a switch in his genes had been turned on. It was like he was in a closed room with all the doors and windows open. The air outside connected with the air inside his body, and an endless amount of power entered Han Sen's body.
"Jadeskin Battle Body has opened its first gene lock."
Han Sen was shocked. He had opened his gene lock in the sanctuaries, but he hadn't expected to be able to open it again in the geno universe.
Opening the gene lock now was different from opening it before. After opening the gene lock, he felt as if his body was connected to the planet. He could stand on the planet and use the planet's power. It was like the celestial body they were talking about.
After unlocking his gene lock, Han Sen's one hundred Duke geno points were gone. He was back to zero.
"Does that mean I need one hundred Duke genes to open one gene lock?" Han Sen regretted not bringing his own stock.
But after thinking about it for a moment, he realized it wouldn't do him much good. He didn't have much left, anyway. Opening a gene lock required one hundred Duke genes, so four geno arts would cost him four hundred. Plus, there might be more than one gene lock. What's more, he didn't even have enough to open one gene lock.
But Han Sen was happy about this. If one hundred Duke genes could open a gene lock, then The Story of Genes should be able to do the same. Using one hundred genes to open a gene lock was better than The Story of Genes consuming a lot of resources.
It was a shame that The Story of Genes hadn't reached Duke class yet. Han Sen couldn't test it out.
"No matter what, I have to find a way to get some Duke xenogeneic genes."
Han Sen didn't want to practice in King's Garden. Now that he had this idea, he wanted to leave and hunt xenogeneics.
"My Queen, my practice has reached a bottleneck. There is no danger in King's Garden, so why don't you stay here and practice? I'll find a place to hunt xenogeneics and see if I can break through."
That was the benefit of Han Sen choosing Bai Wei. If he was the knight of Bai Canglang or the other princes, he'd have to listen to their orders. He wouldn't be able to say anything like that.
Bai Wei thought for a moment and said, "If you want to hunt xenogeneics, you can go to Knight's Paradise. It is a place for Knights. There are a lot of xenogeneics there, and only Knights are allowed to enter. The competition for resources isn't as fierce there."
Killing was not allowed in King's Garden, so there was no danger. Bai Wei didn't force Han Sen to stay. She escorted Han Sen out of King's Garden and returned to King's Garden to practice.
She wasn't planning on taking the primary root king dragon, so she found a king dragon that was relatively small. No one was going to fight her over it.
Han Sen wanted to take Bao 'er, the little red bird, and the blood kirin to Knight's Paradise, but he was told that only the Royal Guards could enter. So, Han Sen went to Knight's Paradise alone.
Knight's Paradise was a system, but there were no planets with life. Many xenogeneics lived there. Ordinary lifeforms had to rely on ships and other equipment to survive there. Or, they had to be very strong.
Han Sen had the white whale, but he didn't use it. When he entered Knight's Paradise, he saw a group of Galactic Shrimps swimming around.
Han Sen looked at the Galactic Shrimps around him. They were only Marquise Galactic Shrimps, and they weren't very large. They were much worse than the Galactic Shrimps he had encountered in the systems of chaos.
Han Sen didn't kill any Galactic Shrimps. Instead, he flew to an orange planet. Han Sen had done his homework, and he knew that the orange planet was home to many stone and metal xenogeneics. Their defenses were scary, and they were sparse. There weren't many xenogeneics that were King class, either. Ordinary knights didn't want to go there to hunt.
Han Sen wasn't worried about that, though. He didn't want to go to a planet with many knights, either. There were too many King class knights there, and that would be a threat to Han Sen.
Knight's Paradise wasn't King's Garden. As long as you weren't seen, anything could happen there. The knights didn't have to worry about that place, either. No one could tell what might happen there.
Han Sen landed on a planet called King Kong. All he could see was orange rock. The orange rock had weathered into orange sand.
Because there wasn't an environment suitable for life, there weren't any plants. The temperature of the planet was very high, too. It was at least two hundred times the temperature of the universe. The gravity was a few times stronger than that of an ordinary planet. Ordinary humans couldn't survive there.
An environment like that didn't affect Dukes. Han Sen landed on the orange desert and walked across it.
Because the xenogeneics there hid in the sand or caves, it was difficult to find them when flying through the air. So, he had to walk on the ground.
King Kong was home to many lone xenogeneics. Very few xenogeneics showed up in large groups. That was why knights didn't like to go there. Even if a King class knight wanted to collect low-tier xenogeneic genes, he couldn't do so by killing the xenogeneics quickly.
Han Sen kept walking, and suddenly, the sand around him began to rise. Something that was three meters tall emerged from the sand.
