When Han Sen arrived at the monitoring room, Miss Mirror, Red Cloud, and Night Wind were all staring at the stone on the screen.
The stone had been sealed in a warehouse, and no one was guarding it. If a creature approached the stone, something strange would happen.
It was unheard of for a deified elite to become a King in a single night.
Even Red Cloud didn't know how she had fallen. She wasn't injured, and she didn't feel any power in her body. It was like she had just fallen asleep, and then she was back to normal.
Although she still felt like she had become deified, her power had been reduced to King class. It was incomprehensible.
Han Sen knew what had happened. When he looked at Red Cloud, he paid extra attention. He noticed that Red Cloud's lifeforce had dropped a lot. When he looked at her in the past, he couldn't see her clearly anymore. He could see Chu Ming's lifeforce clearly now. She was only King class now. Her lifeforce was weaker than Falling Leaf's.
"What do you think?" Miss Mirror asked Han Sen to look at the stone.
Han Sen looked at the stone on the screen. It didn't look very different from the stones they were looking at. It was black, and it was as tall as a person. The shape of the stone, however, looked like a standing stone man.
But that was just the shape. It didn't have a face, and the arms and legs weren't separated from the body. It looked like an ancient, barbarian's work of stone.
Han Sen knew that it couldn't have been man-made. There were no signs of it being man-made, either.
Even the words on the stone man's body looked like they had been created naturally. There were no signs of carving.
Han Sen looked at the stone for a while, but he couldn't see anything wrong with it. He didn't recognize any of the words. They weren't words he had seen before, and they weren't like Kingese. He couldn't understand what they meant.
"If we just look at the video, we won't be able to tell anything," Han Sen answered.
"Do you want to take a look at the warehouse?" Miss Mirror asked, looking at Han Sen.
"If you can't see the problem, then I can't even go." Han Sen quickly said. He had no interest in taking the risk.
Even a deified elite had been demoted to King class in one night. Han Sen didn't want to be demoted to King class again.
Han Sen's answer surprised Miss Mirror. After a moment of silence, Miss Mirror said, "The news has reached King's Kingdom. My brother told us to keep it here and figure out what it is."
That didn't surprise Han Sen. If he shipped it back to the Extreme King before figuring out what it was, and if no one was able to deal with it, the deifieds of the Extreme King would be knocked down to King class. That would be bad.
Night Wind said, "Right now, we don't know how big its area of effect is. We can only test it on other creatures to confirm its area of effect and its ability."
"Sixteen, haven't you always wanted to work?
You will be in charge of this, "Miss Mirror said.
"Me?"
Han Sen was shocked. This wasn't a dangerous task. Even if he had to test it, he couldn't do it himself. He would just pick a group of workers to do the testing.
Miss Mirror had given him the task, and that surprised Han Sen.
"Is there a problem?" Miss Mirror asked.
"No problem. How do I get the manpower?" Han Sen asked.
"You can choose from the workers. We are short on manpower, so you can only pick ten Dukes. We can also give you ten Marquises," Miss Mirror said.
"Okay," Han Sen agreed.
"Then it's decided. Go to work. I will wait for your good news." Miss Mirror smiled.
"Don't worry, my lady. I won't disappoint you," Han Sen answered.
After Han Sen left, Night Wind said, "My Lady, is it appropriate for Prince Sixteen to take care of this?
If something happens to him, I don't think we will be able to explain it to the king. "
"I know what to do. Red Cloud's body is in trouble, so you will have to take care of the stone field. Keep a close eye on her," Miss Mirror said.
Han Sen went to the stone field to pick the workers, and he picked Ning Yue out. Although this was a test, there were still risks involved.
Because they had to determine the radius of the stone's influence, the closer they were to the stone, the more dangerous it would be. Han Sen planned to put Ning Yue as far away from the stone as possible. That way, he wouldn't be affected by the stone.
If the stone could affect the outermost area, then the entire base would be affected. Then, it wouldn't matter if they became test subjects or not.
Han Sen moved quickly. He divided the twenty Nobles into ten groups. One Marquise and one Duke were in each group, and they were assigned to ten different locations.
The group closest to the stone was inside the warehouse, and the other group was outside the warehouse. Han Sen placed Ning Yue in the outermost area.
Then, Han Sen's job was to observe and record the changes in the ten groups. The people in charge of the record were all Spring Rain's internal members.
After one night, the group closest to the stone had a problem. But it was the opposite of Red Cloud's situation. They didn't drop a level, and they leveled up instead.
The Marquise leveled up to Duke, and the Duke leveled up to King class.
Although it wasn't as shocking as Red Cloud being knocked down to King class, it was still shocking. No one knew if the stone could keep leveling up. If it could make a King class creature become deified, that would be crazy.
Even if it couldn't level up, leveling up a Duke to King class was already crazy. If this power could be used consistently without any side effects, Han Sen could only imagine what it would be like to build an army of King class elites.
Han Sen didn't let the two leveled up people leave the warehouse. He kept them in the warehouse, waiting to see if there were any changes.
On the third day, the two people in the warehouse didn't change, but the second group outside the warehouse was affected. Just like the first group, they leveled up.
Ever since the stone was discovered, every creature that touched it leveled up. Only Red Cloud had been knocked down.
Every day, Han Sen would go and check on the ten groups of people, and he would also talk to Ning Yue. What made Han Sen feel a chill, though, was that Ning Yue was becoming more and more feminine. It wasn't just his body that was changing, but his personality as well.
Han Sen couldn't believe that this was the Ning Yue he knew. The Ning Yue used to be calm, but now, he was as emotional as a woman.
"I've been affected by that sword."
Han Sen couldn't forget the look on Ning Yue's face when he said that. He looked like a married woman who had just lost her husband. He looked desperate, helpless, and even pitiful.
