"I did not fail you. I brought the sword back." Night Wind approached Miss Mirror and bowed. He presented the sword to her with both hands.
The Duke was nowhere to be seen. Night Wind must have gotten rid of him.
"Is this a broken sword?" Miss Mirror didn't take the sword. She just looked at the broken sword in Night Wind's hand.
It sounded like a stupid question, but it was a question that had a deeper meaning to it.
Night Wind understood what Miss Mirror meant, and so he said, "When I pulled it out, it was just a broken sword. I didn't find a broken sword anywhere. I tested it, and I don't know what level this sword is, but it can cut stone like mud."
Han Sen understood. Night Wind had answered three of Miss Mirror's questions. He hadn't pulled the sword out by force, and the sword hadn't been broken yet. The power of the broken sword was still there.
"Go and see if you can cut open the tree hole." Miss Mirror still didn't take the sword. She spoke to Night Wind coldly.
Han Sen knew why Miss Mirror didn't want to take the sword. She couldn't be sure if Night Wind would betray her. If Miss Mirror took the sword now, and Night Wind was already thinking of betraying her, he'd kill her right away.
Miss Mirror didn't want to fight Night Wind now, so she didn't take the sword. She wanted Night Wind to see if he could cut open the tree hole himself.
If he couldn't cut it open, she wouldn't be able to get the requiem tree egg. Their conflict would be resolved, and they could continue to work together to remove the red eyes.
Night Wind was the strongest of them all. If he could help, it would be great.
"Let me see if I can cut open the requiem tree," Night Wind said.
As Ye Feng spoke, he leapt in front of the Requiem Tree Hole and slashed down with his sword.

Han Sen and Miss Mirror looked at each other. They could see the greed and caution in each other's eyes.
That giant requiem tree egg was a priceless treasure. They wanted it, too, but Night Wind's power was overwhelming. No one could be sure that he wouldn't betray them.
And now, he had a sharp broken sword. If he betrayed them, it would be even more dangerous for Han Sen and Miss Mirror.
After more than an hour, the hole had finally expanded to a diameter of more than a meter. It seemed that it was about time to pull out the tree eggs.
Night Wind put away the broken sword and tried to pull the requiem tree egg out of the tree hole again.

Miss Mirror looked at the tree egg, too. She shook her head and said, "I don't know. I've never heard of such a big requiem tree egg, and I've never heard of a requiem tree egg containing life."
"Is the requiem tree a xenogeneic or not?
Can the requiem tree create life? "Han Sen was shocked.
"Maybe she accidentally entered the requiem tree hole and died inside. Then, she was wrapped up in the tree and became what she is now," Night Wind said after a moment of thought.
Han Sen's face suddenly changed. He gritted his teeth and said, "We have one more person."
When Night Wind and Miss Mirror heard this, their faces changed. The six paintings had predicted that there would be four faceless people in front of the tree. They thought they had killed the Duke, and there would only be three of them left. That meant the prophecy wouldn't come true.
But now, there was a humanoid creature inside the tree egg. That meant there were four of them now.
The three of them felt very uneasy. Night Wind gritted his teeth and tried to shove the tree egg back into the tree hole.
However, the tree egg suddenly shone with a golden light, as if there was a terrifying power that forcibly shook off the night wind. The tree egg also suddenly sprayed out of the tree hole, landing on the ground and spinning.
Han Sen and the others could finally see what the tree egg looked like. It was just as they had guessed. It was two meters tall and one meter wide. It looked like a giant amber egg.
Inside the tree egg, there was a naked blonde girl of 15 or 16 years old. On the blonde girl's back, there was a tattoo that almost covered her entire back.
